Ambassador Sarukhan better not hold his breath. This Inspector General 'investigation' will take longer than it took to build the pyramids.

Left in the dark. Were they, at the highest levels? Maybe so.

But, a few years ago, our alphabet news tools were telling us the Evil Gun Dealers in our border states were selling assault weapons to the cartels. And President Calderon was calling for more gun control for us, right along with the alphabets, Holder, and Obama.

As it turns out, our gubmint was coercing said gun dealers to sell. And the alphabets, Holder, Obama, and Calderon, they all want to ignore the truth. Why hasn't Calderon spoken out against F&F? His AG has, some of his lower-level pols have, but where's his two cents? Hmmmm?

“In March, Rep. Adam B. Schiff(D-Burbank) introduced legislation that would create two-year prison sentences for “straw purchasers,” who acquire weapons to sell to Mexican gun smugglers. Currently, straw purchasers face probation or minimal jail time.

Yet he worries that Republicans may oppose the legislation in order to keep the focus on the Fast and Furious debacle.”

Pure and simple it’s to setup the Republicans so they can make a grand showing of knocking them down.

>"Mexico left in the dark on Fast and Furious, ambassador says"

Lincoln used to read by firelight.

Thanks to our Dear Leader, and Ricky H, the Mexicans can now read by automatic machine-gun fire.

You're welcome Mexico.

Something stinks! Their pols were claiming 200 - 300 dead Mexicans from these weapons. Why isn’t the ambassador making claims for reparations for the families of the dead?

Why doesn’t Mexico indict Eric Holder on several hundred counts of Negligent Homicide and put in an extradition request?

Given that there are a lot of leftists in the Mexican Government, I find it very hard to believe that some didn’t know this was happening especially given the objectives of this administration. They may have had just enough plausible deny-ability for not knowing about the operation but had enough information from Holder to know what way they where trying to get the wind to blow, ie they think the same things so it wouldn’t be to hard to read between the lines on minimum information.

The meat of the article is here: “...[Mexican Ambassador] Sarukhan said, “the thinking that you can let guns walk across the border and maintain operational control of those weapons is really an outstanding lack of understanding of how these criminal organizations are operating on both sides of our common borders.”

“He added that the ill-conceived operation had “poisoned the wellsprings” of public opinion in Mexico, putting strains on the strides that had been achieved between the United States and Mexico in combating illegal gun trafficking.”

He also reiterated that Mexico is going ahead with it’s own investigation.

The DOJ’s IG “ingestimigation” is soon to enter its 19th month. If stuff like this happened in my company (or yours), there would be wholesale firings within 19 minutes and criminal charges brought before the day was out.
