WH on disastrous jobs report: Problems in the labor market won’t be solved “overnight,” you know
Hot Air ^ | JUNE 1, 2012 | Ed Morrissey

Posted on 06/01/2012 1:30:14 PM PDT by RobinMasters

Anyone want to try defining “overnight” for me, just so that we have a rule of thumb going forward? On Inauguration Day, I would have accepted “2009″ or even “his first two years in office” as plausible answers. Instead, five months out from election day, somehow dawn still has yet to break. His braintrust is now actually on the cusp of arguing, in all seriousness, that it’s unfair to judge him on what’s happened in the jobs market over the course of his entire first term.

What do you do when America’s just taken an economic gut punch, with a vicious European uppercut soon to follow? You hold six fundraisers, naturally:

With Republicans steamrollering ahead with a group of well-fed Super Pacs and an increasingly successful money effort by Mitt Romney, President Obama Friday will attend six fundraisers, a possible sign of budding desperation for a campaign that is lagging far behind its initial fundraising expectations.

Overnight means the day after Democrats [or Republicans] restore all the manufacturing that unbalanced trade deals exported to the rest of the world. There will be no job recovery until the products you buy say 'Made in USA'.

Those who want to rely on green jobs or tax-cuts are just election recycled bull crap.

Hey - I really do not appreciate your use of the term "Kenyan fagot" in this context.

We're talking about a Kenyan faggot here, and you're being unfair to all the Kenyan fagots in the world.

Next time get it right, okay? :)

And why makes matters worse is that as of the end of today, after over 19 years of constant employment, I was laid off today.

It ain’t getting better folks!

"Problems in the labor market won’t be solved 'overnight,' you know"

It's probably nothing chairman obama is capable of solving in this century.

I’m not a Romney supporter (although I’ll vote for him over Obama without hesitation), but since you asked the questions in your post, I googled a bit and found the info in the following link:

3-1/2 Years is overnight?

It took Bush 8 years to kill the economy. Many nights to fix it. /s

“I will be held accountable,” Obama said. “I’ve got four years and … A year form now, I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress, but there’s still going to be some pain out there … If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

Socialism, centrally planned economies = EPIC FAIL

Always has, always will. Libs think the only reason Cuba, USSR, NY, CA failed is that Lenin, Stalin and Castro didn’t go to an Ivy League school.

Everything leftists do violates the law of human nature. That’s why they always fail.

>Biden assured us a couple of years ago we would have 500,000 new jobs every month. What happened to that??

I’m relying on the Republican party to ignore all these campaign commercials that wrote themselves.

Fair is not even on the 2012 ballot.

I am not so sure. Obama is the problem. it almost appears like intentional tactics to destroy capitalism.

Dear Democrats,

The only way government can solve the unemployment problem is to get the hell out of the way. That means less regulation, a much smaller bureaucracy, and fewer taxes: all ideas you so-called progressives fear. The American middle class you elitist snobs loathe are more then capable of generating jobs. We do not want your help nor do we need it.

Leave us Alone!
