Pro-Walker Marine veteran dragged out and arrested at Bill Clinton-Barrett Rally in Wisconsin

A pro-Walker Marine vet got into a few confrontations at Democrat Tom Barrett’s rally today with Bill Clinton in Wisconsin. The Franklin Center has video.

They couldn’t handle the truth. So, union cops were called in and dragged him out of the rally and arrested him. They didn’t like what he was saying.

The Marine is predicting a 10 point win for Scott Walker. I second that.

I would get banned if I wrote what I really felt about those NAZI pigs. Believe me these cops have the exact mentality of the NAZIs.

With the right power structure, these pigs would have no problem doing "whatever" the State desires.

You know, I rented an apartment to a union guy recently. Never had one before. He doesnt get along with the other renters and is entitled and complains all the time about everyone else and is thoughtless about others.

Please. Condemn the behavior, not the cops’ appearance. There are times when beefiness comes in handy in police work. Not all husky cops are Gestapo like this one.

Cops are indoctrinated into this low quality brotherhood gangsta bs these days. Some sort of loyalty for whatever uniform or what not, instead of who can really do the job of stopping crime and standing up to thugs.

The video I watched showed the Marine to be calm, informed and affable. He did nothing wrong whatsoever, just held up his sign.

I’d like to know what grounds he was arrested on...

Unless he did something way beyond what was shown in the video, he was a peaceful protester.

One possibility I want to offer forward, and you can definitely feel free to disagree, I just want to say this, and then I’ll shut up, and I’m honestly not trying to stir the pot...

LEOs don’t really have a choice to be in a union or not. Some of them are really good people. Situations like this can quickly get out of hand if there are large amounts of people vs. a small amount of people (a police officer, and a marine vs. a crowd of older disillusioned union members mixed with some truly riled up union thugs). No matter what, that would cause a truly bad scene. It would ratchet up in a hurry, and those odds aren’t great for anyone.

What is the police officer to do, if he truly does want to protect this person, AND he wants to appease a crowd of crazed angry people? He can’t very well agree with him, and express trying to herd him away in a more friendly manner - even if he wanted to. It could be that afterwards the police officers explained exactly why they got him out of there the way he was taken. Remember, these ARE union thugs, and there ARE paid provocateurs among those crowds. Marine, or no, this man really was in danger, IMO.

I want to see if there are actually charges pressed and held against him. Also, the one who was yelling “Civil Unrest” was a crazed union guy - not a police officer.

If the police officer truly did act out of line because he WAS aligned with the cause there that day, then I’m all for getting him fired, to be sure. However, if he at some point made a determination that he thought he could lose control of the situation and put himself, and the marine in jeopardy, that may be why he acted as he did... Also remember, tensions do run high when that much negativity is floating in the air...

Regardless, the union supporters are crazy! I’ve never seen a situation devolve like that when there are attempts at rational conversations with rational individuals who disagree at a protest. Sure, I’ve seen a couple of heated exchanges, but nothing like a fight or anything. This was definitely verging on that, IMO.

As some of you may know, my family has a long history of firefighters in it.

Many, many years ago, the union seemed necessary as firefighters made barely minimum wage and their families were on public assistance and they had none of the protective equipment they have today. Relatives and friends of my Grandfather's died from cancer and in the line of duty at a young age.

Today, things are different and it may not be openly talked about but many Professional Firefighters (I've had many family members who were volunteer firefighters and were every bit as Professional, in the sense of their training and conduct, just using the term here to mean paid) have
seen the light, but many are still afraid to leave";comfort” of the perceived union “protections”.

A relative, don't want to give him away, created a spreadsheet showing that in his close to 30 years of service, the money paid into the union by his departments dues exceeded by a large percentage any benefit the union provided. The Union itself admitted in one of it's usually biased quarterly full color glossy magazines it sends out that after polling firefighters nationwide, 54% are actually Republicans. It's Union leadership that rakes in the big dough and donates it to the Democratic candidates. They find all of the liberal firefighters and make sure they vote in the union leadership elections. Other firefighters from smaller departments don't get time off to attend these meetings or can't even afford to attend. It's all rigged.

Of the 35 people at our Department that spoke about their vote last time around, only two voted for Obama. In many smaller cities and departments across the country, pay is not all that high, and many go home to smaller villages and cities and also volunteer as firefighters. In the past 50 years, I can think of 8 members of my family that were all volunteers, and 4 of them were also paid, working in the city.

A good sign is that in previous elections, Union news letters have come right out and told members to vote Democratic. Now the newsletters seem to be implying you must vote Obama, but they haven't come out and said it, because many firefighters do not like Obama. Many, many are veterans and believe in the free market. You will find examples of those in the fire service raking in huge pensions, they gamed the system and this is not the norm. To put it bluntly it pisses off many firefighters that know this reflects on them, even though they will never receive those types of benefits. Here's an example, locally, of the unions big "help". A FF was injured on the job, and basically fired illegally --not just because he was union was it illegal, but in any field. The Union would not step up with any assistance, not even to help his family as he struggled for months in the hospital. Firefighters were taking their own money to help the mans family and to consult a lawyer. Finally, when he was well enough, he was offered a different job when the city realized they would be held responsible. He accepted the job and works really hard, although being a fire fighter is out of the question as some paralysis on one side still exists. Once again, no union assistance, and the man did not want disability but to work.

Obama’s economy put families under a lot more pressure due to loss of benefits in the form of higher costs - a lot higher costs. Add to that inflation, and the devaluing of the dollar, plus the other problems that surface when you have power structures fighting for control like what’s happening in DC and America, at large.

I think however, that made the time very right for Governor Walker’s message, and ideas. When Gov. Walker cut off the tap for many union bosses, then they started crying, but at the end of this school year, the truth is, the feeling isn’t negative, it’s positive. No matter what the folks in Madison say (and no matter what the unions say). There are way more “I stand with Walker” signs in my area than Barrett signs.

Man Arrested at Rally

Milwaukee Police cited a protester at a rally at which former President Bill Clinton appeared this morning at Pere Marquette Park.

David B. Willoughby, 39, of West Allis, was issued a municipal citation for disorderly conduct when he refused to comply with Milwaukee Police orders to step back from his location where he was waving a large wooden pole with a sign mounted on it. Given his proximity to Mayor Tom Barrett and other dignitaries, officers believed he posed a threat with the large sign and was asked to move back. He was told he was allowed to protest, and the officer understood his right to protest, but he needed to move from the line where the Mayor and other dignitaries were standing. He failed to comply. He was arrested, issued a citation and was released.

Before the incident, one of the rally organizers approached the police officer asking that Willoughby be removed as he said the protester was an unwelcome guest. The officer informed the organizer that Pere Marquette is a public park and that Willoughby had the right to be present there. Additionally, the same officer ordered a man who was shouting at Willoughby before the arrest in an extremely agitated fashion, to calm down and to walk away. The man did.
