Do you know any repentant Obama voters?

Posted on 06/02/2012 8:26:18 AM PDT by MNDude

I know a guy who voted for Obama because he said "you have to admit, we really need change." Now he claims he's the worst President ever and he can't wait to vote against him (although I guess his wife didn't let him sleep with her for a month after voting Obama)

I knew several senior citizens who voted for Obama out of anger at Bush who now hate Obama because of the ObamaCare thing.

Any of you know any repentant Obama voters? Anyone ever heard of a McCain voter now supporting Obama?

I have an Obama voting friend. I have been unable to turn him around until...... The other day when he said Obama’s pro-gay marriage pronouncements were making him think of voting for Romney. The gay stuff was what got to him. He likes all of Obama’s eco-policies

Several. And one in particular, a female cousin, has been a lifelong Democrat. I now get more anti-Obama and anti-Democrat email from her than from anyone else. Incredible.

2008 election was a referendum on BUSH, it had nothing to with Obama... Obama has governed as though he got a massive referendum, and he didn’t, his election was a rejection of Bush, nothing more.

This election is going to be a simple referendum on Obama, it really doesn’t matter who the R candidate is.. all the R had to do was put up someone who could not be painted as more dangerous or scary than Obama.

Obama is going to be spanked, I am no fan of Romney, and am frankly disgusted that the R party is putting him up, but he’s going to win, and win big. Hell, Mickey Mouse would win and win big against Obama. He’s got a national peak, if he runs a flawless campaign of 42-43%. That’s it, and frankly he’s not running remotely a flawless campaign. Just look at him, he’s romper room. He’s out there trying to attack Romney’s economic record, when his administration has the sole distinction of being the only administration in the modern era that will end its term with fewer people working that the day he took office! Even CARTER managed to better than that! This guy and those around him are fools.. abject fools.

He’s running his campaign as though he actually won in 2008 by what he believes in, and thinks america wants it and more of it.

The guy is toast as are a lot of Democratic Senators and Congressmen this fall.

My father.

He was taken in by the lies, especially the one about cutting the deficit in half.

He also has seen the Space Coast decimated due to shutting down all the space programs.

He is voting ABO this time around.

My sister who has been a drooling lib all of her voting life has finally opened her eyes! She came for a visit from kalifornia last week and I could have sworn there was someone else inhabiting her body. There was true venom in her voice as she spoke of omuzzie.

True story, I know of a relative who voted for Obama. But now says helping elect him was a huge mistake, and one he will not repeat.

I hear ya. It really is an incurable disorder. My liberal sister and her husband were visiting over the Memorial Day weekend. We got into the inevitable political discussion. She thinks the stimulus didn’t work because he didn’t use enough money. If re-elected he can put another trillion into the economy and really get it going. They are educated but obviously not in economics. And her husband supports socialism because that’s the essence of the Bible. I can’t wait to hear from them Nov. 7

He's lost the youth vote. My nephew voted for him because he believed he was going to get free college tuition.

Seriously. That's what a lot his voters thought..they would get something for nothing. It was a new world where Obama was going to take stuff from the haves and give it to the have nots.

I think they're all realizing they got played.

My friends...

Why do you have friends with dangerous totalitarian impulses. They'll rat you out to the thought police in less than a second.

I think there is a lot of regret among Obama’s white supporters. Among black and Hispanic supporters, not much at all. So we’ll see if his shrinking white support is enough to put Romney over the top.

It’s frightening because these friends are well educated. They have the internet so they should be able to do their own research, but they won’t. Whatever lies Obama tells them, they believe without question.

IMHO, it is a spiritual issue as well as a political one. Intelligence, education, and readily available facts have little to do with this deluded state...

"The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." - 2 Thessalonians: 9-12

I know a couple of staunch liberals who have mumbled something that sounds like “boy did I screw up”.

I have not seen a single obozo 2012 bumper sticker, but this is Texas. I haven't even seen an old obozo sticker now that I think about it. They must have all gotten new cars, hybrids or electric thingies, or not so Smart cars. Yeah thats the ticket, they got new cars!

I know not one repentant Obama voter. I suspect there are few. Never in history has there been such blind devotion.

It is an interesting phenomenon. If there are any repentant Obama voters around here, they are likely too embarassed to admit voting for him in the first place.

The rest keep doubling down and believing the BS in the MSM.

I know a couple of people who voted for him and say that they won’t vote for him again, but they still say that McCain would have been worse. They all say that they just didn’t know...

I know several. My in-laws have always been die-hard democRats. We’ve had several heated debates over the years about politics.

Now they’re suddenly adamant Republicans. Thanks to Obama. And yes, the voted for him in 2008. Bumper stickers, the whole shebang.
