The American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin Foundation announced Monday it will participate in the nonpartisan Wisconsin Election Protection coalition's efforts to answer voter questions, monitor polling places and advocate for the right to vote.

"The ACLU of Wisconsin believes that every eligible voter has the right to participate in the recall election without barriers, misinformation or intimidation," the group said in a statement.

On Tuesday, voters can call the Wisconsin Election Protection hotline at (866)-OUR-VOTE (on Twitter @EPWisco or on Facebook ) to report problems or ask questions about voting.

Over the weekend, Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced he would send agents and assistant attorneys general to monitor polling places and ensure compliance with election laws.
