The McGuinty government’s controversial homosexual ‘rights’ bill that forces homosexual activist clubs on the province’s schools, including those operated by the Catholic Church, passed its final vote in the legislature Tuesday.
Bill 13 passed at 11:50 a.m. in a vote of 65-36 with support from the Liberal and New Democrat parties, and opposition by the Progressive Conservatives.
The bill requires all publicly-funded schools to allow “gay-straight alliances”, though Ontario Human Rights Commission chief commissioner Barbara Hall has implied the bill could even be applied to private schools.
It required homosexual clubs from the beginning, but gave schools the option to refuse the name “gay-straight alliance” until the government introduced an amendment May 25th. It now requires schools to accept GSAs if requested by a student.
According to Cardinal Thomas Collins of Toronto, the amendment “overrides the deeply held beliefs” of the Church and “intrudes on its freedom to act in a way that is in accord with its principles of conscience.”

It sounds like the Catholic school and church leadership is not up for the battle. Mass non compliance and demonstrations are what is called for, not a statement that the schools will comply with the diktat.
I always taught my kids, “Never discrimate against anyone based upon sex, race, religion, creed or color... except canadians”.... seems i was right.. :)
There is a homo apartied in this country. The very small minority of the population that is queer is trying to, and in a lot of cases, forcing the majority to accept their deviant life style. Personaly, I don’t care about what they are. Just don’t force me to accept their diviation and make it public policy to do so. They won’t get anywhere with me under those conditions.

Obama has come out for gay marriage and against the defense of marriage. The outrage has just begun.

I will continue to give the gays the same respect I would expect to give anyone caught screwing a dog. I see little difference, other than the dog doesn’t deserve the scorn.
The Christian leaders in Canada have not organized and stood up to the State ordered amoral, atheist religion. They have permitted each other to be isolated, demonized, fined and imprisoned.
What Chritians in America can learn is that if one’s free exercise of religion is attacked by the State, everyone speaks the same words in church, in protests on the streets, everywhere - until they are free from persecution. You must make it HUGE for state officials to attack Christians. If we fail to put the kabosh on atheists early, they progress to flown blown persecution. It’s a lot of work and cooperation beyond religious sect lines to defeat them.
