That is a widely known fact, especially to sport fans and Evangelical Christians.

Lord bless you for what you’ve accomplished and your righteous courage. i too believe that obeying the “lawfully” constituted authorities does not require denying God or participation in sin.

when the time comes, we will all have to do, what we have to do. No matter the outcome, He will not forsake us.

Fred Thompson was my Senator. He was a lousy senator and would have been a lousy president.

very. it’s also “funny” that big pharma, wall street, big health insurance companies, big elderly associations like AARP, medical associations, nurses and even doctors—all who were bound to be enslaved—signed on with Obama.

for me, it shows that there is no space between the politicians and their crony capitalist partners in organized churchs, academia and big business.

Well....since Dobson is no longer head of Focus on the Family, I doubt he’ll have to pay any high price.

“And hear I thought Thompson failed because he wasn’t actually campaign. IE He never seemed like he really want to be president.”

Nah. His campaign failed because I sent money to him.

This time around, I made a better decision. I sent money to Hermain Cain.

No this does not state that Thompson is a Mormon. It appears to pan Thompson for the controversial belief that regeneration happens in ceremonial baptism, an idea that evangelicals and Protestants usually don’t endorse (as being biblically unfounded). Is this Thompson’s worst deviation from Christian orthodoxy?

I wonder if Dobson will have the same reply to RomneyCare applied at the state level which Romney and his surrogates have proclaimed they are both in favor of and will push.

I wonder how solid Dobson’s principles will be at that time.

Well, James Dobson Is Right, Fred Thompson Is NOT A Christian!
Posted by Job on March 30, 2007
Thompson‘s ”church” believes in the baptismal regeneration heresy. So, Dobson was right because that equates to salvation by works, and makes them a pseudo – Christian cult. Now you have a lot of sanctimonious folk who are protesting against Dobson for “deciding who is a Christian and who isn’t”, well let me tell you folks, you all are going to bust hell wide open if you keep doing this mess, because it isn’t US who says that Thompson isn’t a Christian, and it isn’t US who says that Mormon Mitt Romney isn’t a Christian, but it is the BIBLE, ok? You you generation of vipers, is it the Bible that you have a problem with, or us for believing in it? Thanks to Independent Conservative for setting me straight on this one. Another great thing about Dobson is that I have not seen him active in this “Christian Zionists who do not proselytize Jews” nonsense.
But make no mistake: though Dobson is CORRECT in opposing false Christians like Thompson and Romney, he is still sullied by his overall political activities, including his promoting Gingrich. And it is amazing how so many of the “social conservatives” are throwing their hats in the ring behind either Mormom Mitt Romney or Fred Thompson, KNOWING that their beliefs are not Christian. It just shows that these people are only after seeking a winner who will keep the money and power coming, and not after standing for God and the Bible. Which is why I still say that you are better off turning away from all of these folks and going after God.

Whether a person is a christian or not is not at the top of my list for presidents. You must be too young to remember that *born again christian* Jimmy Carter that confessed he has lusted in his heart for a woman....That is a born again christian that was not only incompetent but stupid and evil to boot....Religion is down farther on my list, but actions over religion is above the religion...

Some good Christians can be very naive and believe everything they hear when it comes to religion/politics.

Whining? I offered a funny and fact-based one line SNARK to someone's post about what a magnificent political activist Dr. Dobson was for "courageously" standing up to Obamacare 2 years after the bill passed.

And then I was asked to explain to the dullard Dobson politcal followers (please note the distinction between Dobson political followers and Dobson religious followers) what my snark meant and why Dobson's current self-aggrandizing press release was irrelevant.

Again, feel free to follow Dobson's faith guidance, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop hanging on Dobson's every word for any semblance of an intelligent or meaningful political statement.

Again, you lie.

Dobson simply confessed that he didn’t know either way whether Thompson was a follower of Christ. The media, and the ensuing narrative, were/are inaccurate.

Bob, you wote, “Again, feel free to follow Dobson’s faith guidance, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop hanging on Dobson’s every word for any semblance of an intelligent or meaningful political statement.”

Straw Man.

NOBODY is claiming that they’re hanging onto EVERY word he speaks. We’re simply saying that you are unintentionally, or perhaps intentionally, telling an untruth about Dobson.

No lies here, Theo.

Dobson's selfish actions during the 2008 presidential campaign were ether a mendacious, but ill-advised smear of Thompson or a super-human example of political naievete.

There have been other incidents of Dobson's political "genius." The Thompson slur was just the most egregious.

Have a nice day!

Yes, you are lying about what actually, historically took place. You are lying about what James Dobson truly said, and the context in which he said it.
