Hostility toward the Christian faith... again.

The districts student discipline policy forbids any apparel, jewelry, accessories, or matter of grooming which by virtue of its color arrangement, trademark, or any other attribute (as a primary purpose) denotes membership in an organized gang. The Catholic Church is now a "gang"?
Does that make the Knights of Columbus a "militia"?
These people need to clean the sight glass in their navels, just so they can see where they are walking.

They think its like a gang sign, Balthazor said.
Not surprising that public school staff cannot recognize a religious symbol.

State sponsored hate crime. I am sure the ACLU and Attorney General Holder will ride in to the rescue any minute.

I would really like to see the Church send in a high official and its lawyers to this school and school district. If the church doesn’t start to fight back it will find that it has lost what respect it still has.
And in the end all of the church’s may become mosques in the end because they didn’t stand up and proudly proclaim their beliefs.

I wonder what the reaction would be if this student were to wear a T-Shirt like this one I recently purchased and wear often as I like the stares I get which some of, are not exactly, very "friendly." lol
Would this be considered as being a "Gang Symbol?"

As a Catholic, I don’t like this rosary wearing that is going on right now anyway. The rosary is not for wearing!!!!!
To: mn-bush-man
Just wear the rosary under his shirt and nobody will know and he can honor his grandmother. How hard is that?

It’s disrespectful to wear them. His grandmother would be the first to tell him that. If he truly wants it as a reminder, keep it in his pants pocket. Unfortunately, the rosary is becoming a fashion statement for Hollywood celebs and gangmembers alike. Good for the school. It’s not an issue of religious freedom.

The schools' predecessors. Same (as) in leftist Red controlled parts of Spain in the 1930s, and the whole of the Soviet Union and China.
Yet how foolish. They in their abject moronic atheism can never grasp that they shall never, ever succeed.

Sadly, gangs have taken to wearing colored rosary beads. They wear them in my school and are told to take them off and put them away. (In my school) it has nothing to do with religion.
I can't say that I've seen any boy or girl who wasn't likely to be in a gang wearing a basic black set of beads, so I don't know if they'd make any exceptions. Most likely they'd be told be a dean or guidance counselor to wear them under their shirt.

I was always taught not to wear the Rosary too....that being said, I'm sure if the kid came dressed, everyday, as a Giant Pink Ribbon, the school would celebrate his support of breat cancer patients.
It all depends on "whose" gang symbol you wear.

Jake? What kind of Catholic name is that? sounds kind of WASPy to me. Back in the day, you named your children after saints. I bet he has brothers named taylor and tyler and sisters named ashly and madison.
