I would really like to see the Church send in a high official and its lawyers to this school and school district. If the church doesn’t start to fight back it will find that it has lost what respect it still has.

It’s disrespectful to wear them. His grandmother would be the first to tell him that. If he truly wants it as a reminder, keep it in his pants pocket. Sadly, gangs have taken to wearing colored rosary beads. They wear them in my school and are told to take them off and put them away. (In my school) it has nothing to do with religion.

I can't say that I've seen any boy or girl who wasn't likely to be in a gang wearing a basic black set of beads, so I don't know if they'd make any exceptions. Most likely they'd be told be a dean or guidance counselor to wear them under their shirt.
