A University of Colorado professor fired following public outcry over an essay in which he compared some Sept. 11 victims to a Nazi is arguing his case before the Colorado Supreme Court.

The court will hear arguments Thursday afternoon regarding the 2007 termination of Ward Churchill.

The enemedia tries to frame his firing on Ward blaming the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks as little Eichmanns.

The enemedia ignores the real reasons for his firing :

Among other things, Churchill was found guilty of passing off others’ work as his own ( plagiarism ), but also of passing off his own work as others’.

This permits the author to create the false appearance that his claims are supported by other scholars when, in fact, he is the only source for such claims...

He committed plagiarism by copying original art and selling it as his won. He lied about having earned a masters degree, but Sangamon State University has no record of him.

Maybe he will base this case on saying his life and credentials are fake, so what he wrote isn't really his, therefore he can't be fired for not really doing anything real.

Ward Churchill didn't get fired for what he said about 9-11. That is HIS spin. He got fired because he was found out doing “sock puppet” scholarship.

It seems that none of the “scholars” in his field (of identity politics and victimology 101) were impressed with his writings and they failed, year after year, to cite his “research” in their own ‘scholarly work’.

Well they keep track of such things - especially in fields where the “impact” of their work is not obvious because it is so useless and utterly inapplicable to anything OTHER THAN being cited by others in victimology / womyns studies or whatnot.

What is a fake Indian to do? Well invent a pseudonym and create a ‘scholarly work’ in the field citing lovingly and at length the brilliant work of Ward Churchill!
