Obama’s data advantage [Drudge Headline: "Obama Watching You"]
politico ^ | 6/9/12 | Lois Romano

Posted on 06/09/2012 8:12:10 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

On the sixth floor of a sleek office building here, more than 150 techies are quietly peeling back the layers of your life. They know what you read and where you shop, what kind of work you do and who you count as friends. They also know who your mother voted for in the last election.

The depth and breadth of the Obama campaign’s 2012 digital operation — from data mining to online organizing — reaches so far beyond anything politics has ever seen, experts maintain, that it could impact the outcome of a close presidential election. It makes the president’s much-heralded 2008 social media juggernaut — which raised half billion dollars and revolutionized politics — look like cavemen with stone tablets.

Facebook is probably sharing their data mining with the white house.

This sounds somewhat smilier to what the Clinton's did, and yes they did blackmail people into supporting BJ.

“Facebook is probably sharing their data mining with the white house.”

You can guarantee that, along with Google also.

That means I forgot to list browser search data, which could also be part of their analysis and that makes it all even more scary on what their analysis can provide.

Most people do not know this, but Google has created their own database platform called Hadoop. It is being positioned as an open source database that companies use for their analytics - hundreds of software companies and clients are building analytics solutions on top of the platform, very similar to Salesforce.com has done. I am 99% certain that I read somewhere that the Obama campaign is using Hadoop as their database and analytics platform.

This is a whole new level of big brother that no one could have imagined 10 years ago, much less when Orwell wrote 1984.

“I still hold it in my heart that there will not be an election.”

If that was his plan, he wouldn’t be going to all this trouble would he? Or maybe he’d LIKE to win, but his other plans are just for back-up.

Like you, “I still hold it in my heart that there will not be an election.” But I have the satisfaction of A. Knowing I’m usually wrong, and B. Having prepared for it anyway.

In the future, the United States has converted to an “electronic democracy” where the computer Multivac selects a single person to answer a number of questions. Multivac will then use the answers and other data to determine what the results of an election would be, avoiding the need for an actual election to be held.

The story centers around Norman Muller, the man chosen as “Voter of the Year”. Although the law requires him to accept the dubious honour, he is not sure that he wants the responsibility of representing the entire electorate, worrying that the result will be unfavorable and he will be blamed.

Thanks for that posting. For some unfathomable reason, FReepers use “loose” where “lose” is the appropriate word.

Think it would be too blatant if we just started calling Obama “Big Brother”? If Drudge can call Janet Napolitano “Big Sis”, we should be able to call Obama by his functional name, shouldn’t we?

Ya gotta admire Satan's command of the English language and sense of irony.

He picked the one man we couldn't call Big Brother to be Big Brother.

I suppose we could, in the spirit of calling Janet Big Sis, call him Big Sissy...

lol.

But God’s command of the forces of nature and sense of humor are even better. I still laugh at the AP’s office in the House getting flooded by a urinal that exploded. I laughed so hard my sides hurt. The story said they cleaned up the mess which left a sticky floor so it wasn’t just clean water either. lol.

After passing off crap sandwiches to everybody else, it’s only appropriate that they get stuck with their own split pee soup. lol.

I hope they are mining Facebook and Google. That boring, mindless tripe will suck out any remaining, functional brain cells these government slobs have, and we’ll be perfectly safe.
“Like?” Isn’t that deep!

Soros tried to take control of the secretaries of states he knew would be battlegorund states, but has not succeeded. With his latest 'investment' he no longer needs the secretaries of steats because his employees can move vote counts around wherever they deem it useful so long as they have some even fictional (read a past history of dead and multiple votes cast) basis upon which to fudge the numbers.

When democrats whine about vote cheating and get specific, they are actually revealing what they have planned to do when they get their opportunity else they wouldn't understand what the scam is so well! case in point, the droog in Florida assuring her adored Jesse Jackasson that Florida would not purge 'their people' from vote rolls. So many are on the rolls now as fraudulent entires, this female droog could not have known what was at stake had she not known there are fraudulent listed names. Stupid woman, really. She gave away the scam in whining about the process.

Not only that but the stats are assuming you bought those things for yourself, I often grab things for others and I usually use cash. My credit cards would tell them that I order business things on the internet and that I visit my son a couple times a year out of state.

As far as my surfing the net, people call me all the time to find out information because I’m good at it, so attributing all my surfing to myself and my own interests wouldn’t work either.

“Think I’m on some sort of list?”

Count on it.

Heck, I might be on a list for simply reading it. ;>)

Well said....

This is only slightly related to Big Brother. Does anybody either know what this is, or know somebody who might know:

Script: http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?m=1333391137g&ver=1.7.2:1

I went to my blog and was told that I couldn’t go any farther because this script was running on my blog page, and I’d like to find out what it is and who could have put it there.

Thanks for any help anybody can give. =)

Data mining = making lists = drones = James Brennan = latest Ulsterman WHI interview about 0mugabe’s obsession with drone assinations etc.

The lists are not benign.

If this freaking demoniac usurper is not kicked out, exposed, arrested and everything he signed made null and void, we have an extremely dark and dangerous future.
