A proclamation to declare June 5 Palestinian Cultural Day in Californias Alameda County was pulled off the agenda that same day, the Jewish News Week of Northern California reported.
Nate Miley, president of the countys Board of Supervisors, asked that it be pulled, spurring an onslaught of accusations from pro-Palestinian groups that Jewish pressure was behind the decision.
He wasnt aware of it until we got emails opposed, Seth Kaplan, Mileys chief of staff, told the newspaper. He asked to pull it because it is a controversial international issue beyond his expertise.
The proclamation, noting that there are 20,000 Palestinian residents in the county, called for a day to recognize their contributions.

There are no “palestinians”. They’re a “made-up” group that even the arab world largely detests. And that’s saying alot.
They have a culture distinct from other Arabs?
And under all the presidents they’re coming in droves across the open border. Some with weapons.
Ironic that they should pick the date that the state’s most famous Palestinian resident, Sirhan Sirhan, assassinated Sen. Robert F. Kennedy.
If it had gone through it would have opened the floodgates for ‘cultural days’ for Lilliput, Brobdignag, Munchkinland, and other imaginary ethnic groups. Thanks Nachum.
