The Washington Post published a story last night examining a massacre carried out by Mormons nearly 200 years ago, and examines whether or not it will affect Mitt Romney's support in the deep South.
"On Sept. 11, 1857, a wagon train from this part of Arkansas met with a gruesome fate in Utah, where most of the travelers were slaughtered by a Mormon militia in an episode known as the Mountain Meadows Massacre. Hundreds of the victims descendants still populate these hills and commemorate the killings, which they have come to call the first 9/11. "
So why is the Post examining old Mormon history?
... After reporting the details of the massacre, writer Sandhya Somashekhar concludes that "none of that history, including the massacre, may make much of a difference in the polls."

They can dig this stuff up, but cannot seem to dig up a damn thing about Obie. Amazing!!! Not only do they not dig, but they refuse to even ASK simple questions. Like "Hey Mr. President, why won't you release your college records?:

The Mau-Mau did some truly ghastly things, the movement became a verb, to Mau-mau. Obama's father was at least a Mau-mau fellow traveler. Wonder how that will affect the election?
My great-great-grandfather was a police captain in New York during the Civil War, and fought Irish mobs during the July riots. He harbored deep anti-Catholic sentiments which he passed down to my grandfather. Who married an Irish immigrant, and whose grandchildren were raised Catholic.
The Civil War riots were in 1863 and my grandfather died in 1958. How are the Civil War riots, in which many more people were killed than in the Mountain Meadow Massacre and much more recently, going to affect the election? I do not care to identify myself with the party whose antecedents have been rum, Romanism, and rebellion.

I'm sure this will warm the cockles of the hearts of the few (thankfully) HATE-ROMNEY-MORMONS, Freeps who keep trying to scare us into believing that Mittens is TEN TIMES worst and TEN TIMES more dangerous than the Fascist, Neo-Commie, Islamic-Jihadist-Appeasing/Supporting, Dear Leader.
Heck there are even some who equate voting for Mitt as being "Anti-Christian."
Right!!!
