I don't see how this does achieves that end. Mutt didn't even say he'd overturn the order. This may well make him no different from Obama, which is the chief criticism he bears among actual conservatives.
Yes, the debate needs to center on the economy. But Romney needs to multitask. He needs to establish real differences between himself and Obama and for someone who claims to be so hawkish on immigration, this would have been a great opportunity to capitalize on an issue that generates white-hot conservative support.
Instead, he gave us the finger. Again.
If you do not agree that the economy, unemployment and jobs are the issues that will win the election for Romney, not a debate with Obama over immigration please explain your logic.

It is gut-wrenching to see how many people have not yet found the courage to REFUSE TO PARTICIPATE in this charade. They are rolling over to liberalism via nothing but fear. There are people here who are on the verge of casting their vote for a guy who repels them viscerally, a guy they know is a liberal-agenda guy, if a registered Republican, a guy anyone would peg as a Democrat if they didn't know his party. I am devastated this Obama monster passed this Dream act. Many of us fought for so long and so hard to defeat this DReam act.And REpublicans in Congress did defeat this dream act. But then this Obama pos goes against the will of Congress and the people and dictates that Amnnesty will be given as the Dream act was to do.
Get a grip on reality. This dictator Obama has just passed the Dream act Amnesty for illegals and it did it by decree as only a dictator would. Heck even Hitler wasn’;t this bold as Hitler had his legislature first pass an enabling act giving him the power to create laws by decree. No Republican President has done what Obama has just done. The buck stops with this monster Obama. It is president and now pulled a coup and became dictator. And all you can do is blame Republicans.
In Congress Democrats tried to pass the Dream act Amnesty for illegals. Republicans in congress blocked it and killed this act.We all worked hard and long to defeat this Dream act because it was Amnesty for illegals. Now this Marxist, Monster dictator Obama passes what was in the Dream act with a decree. Unbelievable.And the media is covering for it.
This is the amnesty part of the Dream Act de facto, at least for the time being. It isn’t the scholarship part of it, though. And there’s no guarantee that Obama will be around always, in fact politics this year bids very fair to oust him. I’m not even sure how well this panders to Hispanics who are voting Americans — did they really want to open the door to any old riff raff that brings shame upon them by association in the public eye?
A nice impeachment motion would give the talking heads plenty to discuss.

The U.S. used to be a nation of laws where we debated , and our Representatives voted on laws. this is how we just defeated the Dream act. But Obama just became a dictator and passed the dream act anyway against the will of Congress and the American people. I am crushed .
