TEHRAN – An informed source has announced that Iran, Russia, China, and Syria plan to stage a joint war game in Syria in the near future, the Persian service of the Fars News Agency reported on Monday.
90,000 forces from the four countries will be involved in the war game, the informed source said.
No official from the countries has confirmed the news report, but a Syrian official, who spoke on conditional anonymity, announced that the joint war game will be launched in Syria.
The new coalition of the willing.

If this is true, Iran, Russia and China will help Assad crush the rebels under the guise of a joint exercise.
In addition the number of troops is around 90000 , 400 jet fighters and 1000 tanks . and also china has succeeded to get permission from Egypt for its 12 warships to sail through the Suez Canal to reach the Mediterranean Sea.

Syria is a Shiite/Sunni civil war, with Assad being Shiite, and al Queda and the Muslim Brotherhood being on the Sunni side (and being financed by Saudi interests).
