WashTimes: Sen. Grassley: Assertion of Executive Privilege Raises ‘Monumental Questions’

Bryan Preston

..... “The assertion of executive privilege raises monumental questions,” said Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee who first began the Fast and Furious investigation.

“How can the president assert executive privilege if there was no White House involvement? How can the president exert executive privilege over documents he’s supposedly never seen? Is something very big being hidden to go to this extreme? The contempt citation is an important procedural mechanism in our system of checks and balances,” he said. ..........

It doesn’t raise important questions, it is an important answer.

Good one, venturer.

The stakes on this are VERY high.

It’s a game of chess where the loser goes to jail.

Delicious graphic!

Now it’s obvious why the punditry is out there saying Watergate is worse than anyone thought. The more facts about Fact and Furious come out, the more the Alinskyites will scream that Watergate was worse.

F&F is a politically devised way to gain what the legislature will not approve, namely weakening of the Second Amendment through weapons bans. Holder is a lackey. The politicos are Val Jarrett and Axelrod, providing plausible deniability for Himself.

Glad you got it, I’ve saved more stuff off of Drudge and he usually has the ‘best’ photos. [I doubt the person would agree, lol.]

Have to disagree with one point. Holder didn’t do this; Obama did. Holder asked for the EP cover, but Obama should’ve seen that it would drag him into it up to his floppy ears, as someone said. Either Obama is dumb, or Holder has some serious dirt on him.

That case of “nerves” seems to have fully dissipated into thin air.

For now.

Recrimination and revenge will be the order of the day. I expect nothing less from such mean spirited ideologues. Their pettiness will be on full display.

Perhaps.

However, let's not neglect the realities of: (a) obvious demographic trends of the US population, (b) free-boaters and their entitlement tradition continues to grow, and (c) expectation of the usage of Executive Orders to increase as to by-pass Congress.

"Their pettiness ..." and a few dollars might get you of cup of coffee - maybe.

So it goes, as for example, in Holder remains.l

I hear you, but don't waste your time stating the obvious to the oblivious.
