Rush: Obama created crimes with gunrunning - 'It was liberalism .. It's who these people are'
WND ^ | June 20, 2012 | Joe Kovacs

Radio giant Rush Limbaugh is coming down hard on the Obama administration’s “Fast and Furious” operation today, calling it “liberalism on parade” in a misguided attempt to promote stricter gun control in America.

“The whole point of Fast and Furious was to create mayhem in Mexico among drug cartels with American-made weapons easily procured so that you and I would stand up in outrage and demand tighter gun laws,” Limbaugh said

“It was deceitful. It was sneaky. It was going against the will of the American people. It was liberalism on parade. It’s who these people are. They want tighter gun laws.”

The White House today tried to undercut a congressional investigation of the scandal in which the Department of Justice allowed guns to be sold and delivered to Mexican drug cartels by announcing tens of thousands of documents were covered by executive privilege.

This afternoon, a House panel voted to place Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for his failure to comply with a subpoena for the documents, defying Obama’s assertion of executive privilege.

All 23 Republicans on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee voted for the contempt resolution, while all 17 Democrats voted against it.

Limbaugh explained Obama and his officials were actually creating crimes.

“There’s no other way to characterize this,” Limbaugh said. “They created, they manufactured crime. They enabled crimes. They saw to it that American guns ended up in Mexican drug cartel hands. And, of course, those people get the guns, they use them. When, in fact, it probably was difficult for the drug cartels to get the guns. It probably was not easy for the drug cartels to get the guns. Certainly not walking into gun stores in Phoenix and elsewhere, then crossing the border.”

Holder: "really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way."

Yeah, the Communist way.

That does it. Nothing less than a federal cellblock for Eric Holder. Let him preach that crap in Lewisburg Penitentiary.

And they get them a lot cheaper than they could get them from US gun stores.

If US guns would be uneconomical enough that cartels would not want them, then who supplied the money to shop at the Lone Wolf WMD Flea Market?

Maybe I am dense (well, maybe more than just maybe).. but I find it difficult to believe that this is actually what they were trying to do.

Does any of this rise to more than the level of mere speculation?

I sort of thought at first that the deal was to empower the drug cartels to make Mexico an even worst place to live thereby driving as many illegals as possible across the border so they can vote in this election.

As I have heard it, Sipsey Street Irregulars, and lately now CBS News, are talking about government documents SAYING this is what the gun walkers wanted.

I’ve felt there must be more, but God knows. It’s certainly not LESS.

What is implied in a scheme like this is truly horrific, because such a scheme would never work *unless* there was something that would acutely enrage the American public - a massacre of Americans by Mexicans with US guns.

“The attack on Columbus, New Mexico, began as a raid conducted by Pancho Villa’s fighters on the small United States border town in March 1916. 18 Americans were killed, much of the town was burned and looted, and the public was outraged enough to demand an invasion of Mexico.”

Of course, were a large number of Americans to be massacred by a drug cartel today, though the US military would probably be more than happy to move into northern Mexico and exterminate every cartel member, this would not be what Obama and his ideologues would want.

Instead, they would want an event where Americans were massacred by unknown Mexicans, with substantial evidence that they were killed with US made guns.

This would be an excuse to make a wide ranging assortment of gun control demands, in something like a gun control Obamacare, loaded with hundreds or thousands of bureaucratic invasions that would make gun ownership impossible.

A lot of it came from the FBI, in money to a confidential informant, to buy the guns. It is one reason for the coverup. There was also a third rifle at the Brian Terry shooting, that was taken from the crime scene. The word is that it was tied to this confidential informant, which is why it "disappeared" from the crime scene.

We did with our tax dollars?

I’m not sure why they bought them. Maybe it was just an opportunity - an impulse buy?

Lets put it this way - where, in the US, can you buy an automatic weapon of recent vintage, a grenade or heavy weapons?

We might have some stuff they would want (Barretts?) but they can get the M16s from our “allies” and AKs from the USSR’s former clients or Venezuela.
