'Egypt gov't sources: Shafik to be named president' (Muslim Brotherhood loses!!!)

Ahmed Shafik, who served as Egyptian prime minister under Hosni Mubarak, will be announced as the winner of the country's presidential runoff election on Sunday evening, Egpytian daily Al-Ahram reported Friday, citing government sources.

Al-Ahram quoted a source in the current Egyptian government as saying Shafik will be declared victor with 50.7 percent of the vote.

Both Shafik and rival candidate Mohamed Morsy of the Muslim Brotherhood have previously declared themselves the winner of the runoff election.

The results of the election were originally scheduled to be announced on Thursday, but the announcement was delayed as Egypt's electoral commission investigated charges of fraud lodged by both sides.

Well, frankly, I like the concept of an Egyptian civil war. The seculars have the military. That means they win. HOWEVER, should Morsi prevail, he is already saying, "Martyrs! March to Jeruselum! We are all Hamas now!".

So, civil war is better than World War Three.

Not necessarily. Not unless there is a concerted purge of the Muslim Brotherhood from the military. A more likely scenario is the military fragmenting into secular versus religious. That means Egypt turns into a warlord-based conflict with outsiders taking sides and shipping in arms.

Unless Egypt gets nukes -- quite impossible -- nobody is marching on Jerusalem unless they want to end up like the Fourth Crusade.

Thank you my friend. And yes...they are playing into our Father's plan, and do not recognize it...but in the end, that will be the tale.

I am doing werll. I have pretty much plateaued in my condition and have learned to live with the resulting conditions and disabilities as graciously, and truthfully, as thankfully as I can. Once again, on the mirocosm, our Father';s plan works out for us and that is what is best. it is left for us to decide how to react to and live with it. We are told that "all thnigs work together for the good of those that love the Lord," and I have fund thios to be oh so true.
