Rush Limbaugh: Romney Flubbed Arizona Response
Rush Limbaugh Show ^ | Tuesday June 26, 2012 | Rush

Posted on 06/26/2012 3:32:54 PM PDT by Bigtigermike

RUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, yesterday Mitt Romney blew it with the response to all the immigration rulings at the Supreme Court. And the Obama administration reaction to it. And the regime basically telling Arizona, "We don't care. We're gonna have spies tattling on you if you start stopping people," and so forth. Yesterday was a warning, I think. Yesterday was a red flag for the Romney team. Yesterday... And it's the first time in a long time. It's the first time I have thought this in a long time. The Romney team was not ready for primetime on this illegal immigration, the Arizona decision.

This is not the time to get too cocky. I know that the Romney campaign is basically saving it all up for after the Olympics, and I understand that. But this is too consequential a week. What's happening this week is going to have legs, and there will be memories associated with it. You can't live off of all of Obama's gaffes like, "The private sector is doing fine." You can't live off that forever. Had that decision happened in the fall on a debate night with Obama pandering away the way he was?

And if Romney's response yesterday had happened in a debate? It would have been a big win for Obama, for the community organizer. Now, health care is coming up Thursday, and it's time to get the ducks back in a row. I'm just saying, folks. I was a little surprised. The Romney camp has been superb. They've had their rapid response stuff ready to go. I know that there's fear about the Hispanic vote, fear of angering it and so forth. But unless we're gonna pander to 'em the way Obama does...

And if we do that, we're gonna lose. We can't outpander Obama. We can't promise a bigger government than Obama will promise. We can't promise that. Not with credibility. That's not who we are. We can't promise this kind of stuff. And if that's the attempt, as a defensive measure, so as not to offend them...? Well, then, fine. I don't think you offended anybody, but you didn't gain anything. And we are about gaining things. The future of the country is riding on this stuff. There's got to be more than a tepid response

Rush is right. Romney’s campaign is going to be much like the one McCain ran. Squishy soft.

Many Freepers disagree with you....I’ve heard them say that its brilliant that Romney isn’t saying anything because it will hurt his position with Hispanics so he should say nothing even if it’s the right thing to do or say

Of course Romney flubbed it.. just like nearly every other prominent Republican. They`re deathly afraid to confront the invasion head-on because they know hispanic political power is too strong. This didn`t have to happen.. but this country ignored the cancerous growth of the illegal population, ignoring the warnings about the dire consequences.

Fat-ass can’t keep his mouth shut. He’s right, but he should keep it to himself. Romney should call him and tell him to button it.

Yesterday was a red flag for the Romney team

The last few months have been a red flag for the nation. Obama is testing, testing, testing to see how far outside the law he can go without repercussions. Pretty soon he will determine that he can do ANYTHING he wants to do because the congress and or the people are too frightened or too scared to oppose him. Look at the Holder deal. Look at the amnesty for yutes, Look at the gay marriage BS. He is constantly pressing on beyond his constitutional authority and no one seems to care. This is one step from him declaring that he is "Dictator for Life". After November impeachment may just be a word in some other nations dictionary, certainly not in ours.

Media Desperation: TIME Complains Romney Too Focused on Economy
As we've pointed out time and again, the corrupt media is currently desperate to shift the conversation of the presidential race away from the economy and on to turf that might win their failed president a second term. Namely, the identity politics of race, which has been disguised as "immigration policy" and has been an obsession of Obama's Media Palace Guards for the last ten days.

It's a trap.

The media currently coordinating with the White House knows it's a trap.

Thank God, though, Mitt Romney knows it's a trap and refuses to play.

Yes he did flub it. “Should have said we have separation of powers AND a rule of law in America. If you don’t like a law, you work with Congress to try and change it, you do not RULE OVER A FREE PEOPLE!! Nor do you ignore a USSC ruling and deprive any state of it’s legal and civil rights. And for that matter you don’t send illegal guns into the country most these very people are coming from. Those are all the WRONG things to do!”

That’s what I wish he had said, he would have surged in the polls.

That’s the key, he doesn’t have the conservative core/instincts, he’s similar to GWB in that respect, he’s going to have be forced to the right. It is going to be a long campaign, but I’ll vote Romney, the alternative is disastrous.

..If a man truly believes something...He will stand up for it no matter what the opposition is doing...If a man believes nothing, he will let the opposition set the tone on everything...always claiming , it was a trap.....

Yes, it’s got to be a pain to have to get out there and grouse against something you are not only NOT opposed to but have every intention of implementing yourself.

After all, Rubio was allowed to float this boat, in Romney’s cowardly stead, as a trial balloon. Obama simply took their own ammunition and blew them up with it, which is what Romney deserves for coming up bright ideas with no specific plans to resolve anything uttered.

What he will do is follow Obama’s example of translating all things out to a liberal congress keeping his own nose clean. This is no leader.

While I agree that Romney -had no response-, which member of the GOP had a response or even the right response?

As far as I can see it was none of them as they are all absolute litte chickensh*ts.

To the average American voter no response means he agrees and would do the same as President or at the very least is willing to let such activities happen in his own government.
