PHOTOS: Student activists protest ObamaCare at Supreme Court
Campus Reform ^

Student activists from around the country gathered in front of the Supreme Court on Thursday to protest ObamaCare, formally known as the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.”

The young conservative activists made it clear they opposed government interference in health care and specifically targeted the bill’s individual mandate.

“The federal government does not have the power to mandate that I purchase a specific product, like health insurance,” said Marjorie Jeffrey, a graduate student at Baylor University. “It certainly can’t force me to pay for someone else’s health care.”

Other students opposed the narrowly upheld law for other reasons.

“I don’t support Obamacare because I don’t support legislation that kills jobs,” said Christine Rouselle, who is a senior at Providence College.

That’s good to see. Glad to know the young people get it.

They’ve figured out that they are the ones who will be paying for it.

Don’t worry about jobs, young students. The government will make sure you are not wanting for anything, paid for by rich evil corporate types.

The Obama administration likes to lament the poor college kids who have big education debt. Many of the college kids buy in too. “Oh, we are so mistreated.”

Wait until it dawns on them how much debt this president has staged to place on their backs, as soon as they graduate.

Good luck suckers. This group of people better wake the hell up.

And yes, it is fantastic to note that some college age kids do in fact get it.

ObamaCare will stand, republican leaders are just as corrupt as SCOTUS, and congress.

Name one large bill or tax in our history that was EVER repealed?

Right, none.

Now what you will see is the hedging that republican leaders will start to do, “repeal and replace”.

Only one solution to restore our republic, we have already had our last free election.

But he's promised them better terms on student loans and forgiveness on others so they know he has their back. /sarc

You may be right (and if so we are truly done) but I have to believe that if Romney wins the presidency, a GOP majority in the senate, and increased seats in the house, that there will be an attempt to repeal Obominationcare.A lot of ifs to be sure, but a chance.

They'll be on the hook for 3.7 trillion.

Of course, it's always three times that amount in the end. By supporting Oboma, the college kids have enslaved themselves a heck of a lot more than they realize.

Pay up, kids! The democrat base wants it's free stuff. Get to work! A democrat somewhere is having trouble sleeping during the day, and needs a doctors help to..... relax.

How about you young people start up patriot clubs at colleges and organize yourself. Give us a way to contribute money so you can travel to DC to raise hell every weekend. I’m willing to chip in for transportation, food and lodging.

Jewish students have organized Hillel clubs across the country to fight the leftists. You need to do likewise.

I talked to a mechanic I deliver parts to and he can’t find anybody that will work. He says a lot of people are too used to getting goodies from the government.

Calling ObamaCare “Healthcare” is a ruse. It’s like calling Islam a “Religion”.

There is so much more to their skullduggery than is implied in either.

"This group of people better wake the hell up."

Most of these youngsters won't "wake the hell up", because they have been indoctrinated to think that Obama "stash" will provide, as you well know. No matter how much they go in debt for their education, they will believe that the Fedgov/State magic funds will help them throughout their lives or at least forgive their debt eventually.

Most youth have no concept of reality nowadays, other than what they think is reality on Jersey Shore. All these new high school and college graduates are going to get a rude awakening when they can't get jobs and have to stay home with their uncool parents. Actually, I kinda like that payback to the kids, and especially the indulgent parents.

But then, they got their i-phones and i-pads and can text, and whine for Mom and Dad to give them a car. After all, they are 16 and everybody else has a car. Hell, I left home at 16 and work many menial jobs until I could buy my own car. While doing that, I slept in friends' garages and cars. These kids have no idea how tough life can be. Even if living in Mom's spare room or basement, they still will have it better than many of our generation.

BTW, I've been meaning to ask you for some years...did we meet at BobJ's house in Palos Verdes one afternoon?

"Pay up, kids! The democrat base wants it's free stuff. Get to work!"

You're dreaming. The college brat crowd will never "pay up". They think they are owed so they can be decadent on Spring Break.

I'm so going to enjoy watching so many having to live in their parents spare bedroom or basement. I'm going to post an article to laugh at them for thinking their stupid college studies like, "Women Equality Studies" or "Social Responsibility" or "Racial Inequity Studies" or so many other inane majors that have NO practical application in the world of business, precludes them from a real job.

I'm going to laugh my ass off as I sit on my porch looking over my home view in comfort from working from making a real living, as they wonder why they can't get a decent paying job and still depend on their loser parents. But then, they can always teach. Pfft.
