That was my initial thought as well. I believe Roberts’ decision has to do with the dirty little secret the share about Obama’s ineligibility.

“I don’t give a SH*T if this clown was on meds. Then it was his responsibility to recuse himself, correct?

Stop making excuses for this POS traitor.”

I feel the same way as you. I personally have an epilepsy disorder. For 99% of the time I am fine, and my judgement is not impaired in anyway. I take medications. I doubt I take the same dose or the same medication as the Justice Roberts. I find that my judgement or confusion become affected only when I sense a grand mal seizure coming. From what I understand of Justice Roberts he has been experiencing this problem for a very long time, and should know when is condition is affecting him. Additionally, he had nearly 2 years to think about his vote so he had the ability to make sure he was thinking about it with a clear mind, so to speak.

They are the adults politically.

Adults don't steal elections, make promises they have no intention of keeping (lies), lock doors to keep their opposition out of the room, vacate the State and go into hiding because they don't like the outcome of a vote.

They're not adults, they're petulant children we keep trying to reason and compromise with and any good 'parent' knows that when Johnny's in the middle of the mall throwing a temper tantrum, you don't 'compromise' with him by buying him what he wants to stop his tantrum. You haul his ass back to the car, drive him home and put him in his room until he can learn to behave like a proper boy.

As long as republicans continue to coddle the democrats instead of taking them to task, this won't change. Everything that's gone on since Obama's inauguration has resulted in nothing but silence by the GOP. Boehner is spineless and rather than breaking ranks and speaking out, the rest of the dimwits follow his lead. They've even managed to tame Allen West. We need 'fire in the belly' conservatives; we need to clean house!

Sorry for the rant!

“Blackmail. Something in his FBI file that is tucked away in Eric Holder’s desk.”

More likely a threat on someone in his family. He was "vetted" by the left before getting on the SC.

When I go to Canada I fill up south of Buffalo and dont get any more gas until Im back on US soil...

I only had to go through sticker shock one time a few years ago to teach me that one...

Gas in NY state is not cheap but Canada is much worse..

I know a doctor who says they have already destroyed medicine in the US. The latest thing seems to be a concerted effort not to allow a doctor’s credentials to be known in some institutional publications indicating that they are all the same in their respective skills (similar to doing away with the grading system in schools). I suppose the best ones will be reserved for the government and the bureaucrats. I will always remember a friend of ours who was a historical writer, Otto Scott, who told me years ago that America was on it’s way down. I asked him how would be know when the end was near and he said when that happens, it will happen very quickly, to the surprise of the people..Sort of like falling off a cliff.

Excellent, but frightening, turn of phrase.

“Who is going to pay for the fraud, waste and corruption called Obamacare?” he asked

How many new Billionaires will be created by the fraud, waste and corruption called Obamacare?, I ask.

I am far from a Bushbot, but even Eisenhower and Reagan chose Supreme Court justices that turned out far more liberal than initially anticipated. After his terms as President were over, someone asked Eisenhower if he had made any mistakes as President. He replied yes, that two of them (Warren and Brennan) were still serving on the Supreme Court.

Rare are the justices like Thomas and Scalia who stay conservative for the whole of their Supreme Court tenure. Since the New Deal days, social and political pressure in the Washington hothouse tends to move Supreme Court justices, and for that matter, Senators and Representatives leftward. What has happened to Roberts can be seen in the judiciary and Congress for a very long time.

The People lose their freedoms, and are penalized by the government as if the government of today was George III, and this is actually 1776, and SCOTUS says OK??

History has a way of mocking itself.

It sure does.

Impeachment is one thing, but usually impeachment is done when you break the law. I am talking about term limits for Federal Judges!

I literally have no idea what John Roberts is saying with this decision. Somebody please explain it slowly. From what I gather he’s saying that the individual mandate is not constitutional but if you call the individual mandate a tax it is...then he essentially called it a tax right there and said.....done............Um question...isn’t that basically rewriting the law?

In just a few days, John Roberts has decided: ... the only way Arizona can secure its borders is to secede AND ... the American government can force American citizens to do anything and penalize them with a tax if they refuse

disgusting. I thought he was conservative but yes you are correct. RINO
