Who wants to be Roarshach?

The smaller-government Right is reeling from Wednesday's Supreme Court decision upholding the constitutionality of the health care "reform" law derisively known as Obamacare. But conservatives shouldn't be too surprised by the ambush sprung on them by the high court. In fact, the ruling points out a fundamental weakness in the conservative strategy.
The problem is, we relied on the Court to do the work of the Legislature. The abomination of Obamacare never should have passed through Congress. The Court never should have had to rule on its constitutionality because it never should have become law in the first place.
Chief Justice John Roberts has been roundly condemned in conservative circles for deciding in favor of Leviathan. But the Court's duty is not to decide whether Obamacare is GOOD law, but simply whether it's LEGAL law. Through some logical gymnastics that would have Mary Lou Retton biting her lip, Justice Roberts found it was so, and now it's the law of the land. But the Court didn't make it so. Congress did.
The gatekeepers failed us. At the judicial level, yes. But more importantly, at the representative level. It is not the Court's domain to make law. It IS Congress's. Obamacare is THEIR spawn, and it is they who should suffer our wrath.
Every congressperson who aided and abetted this farce should held accountable in November. At every rally, at every photo op, on every street corner and whistle stop, they should be confronted with their arrogant disregard for the will of their constituents. We need to throw out the cowards, quislings, compromisers, and criminals who, through their action or their passive compliance, allowed this horror to be birthed. One third of the Senate is standing for re-election this season and should face the same fate.
Then the first duty of the newly elected Congress should be to undo the mess visited upon them -- and us -- by their insipid predecessors. In other words, to stand up to their duty as guardians of the public well-being and representatives of its wishes.
Should they fail again in that duty, having exhausted all legal means to have our voices heard, the only course remaining is that offered by our Founders: abrogation of the law by acclamation. Civil disobedience. Revolution.
The Court failed us. Congress failed us. The president has done nothing BUT fail us. We cannot rely on our representative government to represent us any more. The social contract is dissolved and we must either assert our republican sovereignty or acquiesce to our political masters and take whatever they give us.
We will have to do the job they refuse to do. It is our duty now -- as it has always been -- to watch the watchmen.

I think WE are careful. But the vermin of this country have the same vote we do. We need to retake the majority, so that the parasites have only that voice that's proportional to their numbers.
Hopefully. If it isn't, We the People can take the next step with a clear conscience.

I believe the decision was completed on Wednesday but not “published” until Thursday. I’m not sure it makes a lot of difference.
