A local libertarian think tank’s recent email blast to 12,000 teachers encouraging them to drop their union membership has further inflamed tense relations between the Clark County School District and the local teachers union.

Alinskyites hate it when you use their own tactics against them.

“It’s another in a long line of attempts by the district to intimidate union members to drop their membership,”

"Intimidate"? By sending them information?

Shows the mindset of a union goon.

The raid on the undefended flank was very successful.

The article posted means the issue has permeated to the bone and the union pain is widely realized. Such a small action may have very significant results

I would hope a local FReeper can keep us posted on how events transpire.

So the union doesn’t like it when someone tries to organize their members?

The unsolicited email blast drew the ire of several teachers, who accused the district of providing their work email addresses to NPRI.
Hey, teachers, your email addresses are available to the public just like the names and addresses of sex-offenders. Get over it.[1]

District officials do not know how NPRI was able to gain access to teachers’ work email addresses, she added.
See above. (Oh, yeah -- get over it.)

Groups such as NPRI and some education vendors have requested this email database citing public record laws, but the School District has been reluctant in previous years to release this information, Fulkerson said. The district has never provided a list of emails to outside groups, she maintained.
Gee, your employment info is public record, JUST LIKE CHILD MOLESTORS.[1] Get over it.

NPRI Communications Director Victor Joecks did not say how his group accessed the district’s database of teacher email addresses.

“We have our sources,” Joecks said, seemingly coy. “CCSD did not give it to me.”
Probably the same state records source that provides names and addresses of sex offenders and CCL holders.[1] Get over it.

[1] The same argument is used every time a "news"paper[2] publishes a list of CCL holders.

Years ago, a pair of union thugs cornered me and “explained” what the union wanted me to do. I complied, learned to fight, and have hated and resisted unions ever since. It’s sweet every time I see decent people opposing union thugs.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

All government owned and run K-12 schools in this nation are GODLESS! Just to cooperate in the classroom the child is forced think and reason godlessly.

Therefore.....That makes all teachers in every government owned and run K-12 school a perpetrator of emotional child abuse!

By the way...I think the SAT, ACT, and GRE scores of **all** government teachers should be posted online for all to see.
