Carnahan releases language for Missouri Plan, health exchange ballot measures

Ballot summaries for two measures that will appear on the November ballot were released today by Secretary of State Robin Carnahan.

**SNIP**

Carnahan's approved ballot summary asks voters: Shall Missouri law be amended to deny individuals, families, and small businesses the ability to access affordable health care plans through a state-based health benefit exchange unless authorized by statute, initiative or referendum or through an exchange operated by the federal government as required by the federal health care act? No direct costs or savings for state and local governmental entities are expected from this proposal. Indirect costs or savings related to enforcement actions, missed federal funding, avoided implementation costs, and other issues are unknown.

Lloyd Smith, executive director of the Missouri Republican Party, panned Carnahan's ballot summaries and said the Democratic secretary of state has "stopped even pretending to be fair." "She has released incredibly biased ballot language in a transparent attempt to unfairly influence Missouri voters in the voting booth and achieve her desired political outcome," Smith said.

No bias there Robin huh? Not sure how the rat can get away with that sort of language. Hope the Missouri GOP can get it out that we need to vote “YES” on this issue.

I can't think of a single Carnahan who doesn't belong in prison.

Missouri has already voted on Prop C that they hate Obamacare. The Democrats ignored it.

Me either, including the ones who have assumed room temperature. Dig them up and put them in chains too.

That’s pretty pathetic. Can she actually get away with this in the end? Any means by which this can be challenged?

Amen to that. The leftist Carnahan dynasty continues to plague Missouri along with our corrupt Gov. Jay Nixon.

Yes, we did vote down one part of Obamacare already but the Rats are hell-bent on cramming this travesty down our throats. And as usual, they use deceptive language as in “shall Missouri citizens be denied...”.

How I wish we’d have a special election on this. That way, the ignorant kids would stay home and the informed voters (most of whom are against Obamacare) would show up.
