A judge said Thursday that George Zimmerman appeared to be preparing to flee when he transferred funds out of his name just before his bond hearing, but his plan was “thwarted.”

The judge appears to be saying that GZ has presented no evidence he acted in self-defense. Does that mean that the photos and other evidence O'Mara introduced at the hearing are meaningless as far as the judge is concerned?

It appears that the only chance for acquittal is if GZ can get a different judge--this one is determined to have him found guilty. Restricting him to Seminole County doesn't give him a lot of places to hide from people wanting to collect the bounty the NBPP announced. At 308 square miles it's one of the smallest counties in Florida.

I think Zimmerman is being railroaded, too. There is not one branch of government that isn’t tainted...Judicial being the worst. One good thing, betcha’ break ins are at an all time low in that Sanford neighborhood. Fight back, people!

Admirable sentiments, but I think that the message clearly being sent by our Overlords is that fighting back against the ferals will cost you everything you have, possibly including your life. Have a nice day!

I, for one, welcome our new Loving Overlords, they know what is best for us. Trust in the government. /.

The judge noted in his ruling that Zimmerman even lied to his attorney by suggesting he could not pay for his defense.

Lester, is that the same attorney who said that his fees were likely to reach a million dollars??? So his suggestion was not a lie but was right on, wasn't it???

Kenneth R. Lester sounds like a secular, progressive, fool. He should be part of the 0bama regime...who knows, he might be. :):)

Although Judge Lester said he suspected Zimmerman was going to flee, the state did not prove its argument that Zimmerman should have no bond. The judge made his decision based on prior case law in which bond terms were violated.

That's what the hearing was all about -- whether GZ had done anything while out on release or even in the bond hearing to justify bond revocation. If the state did not prove it, then the revocation of bond on June 1st was wrong.

If the state's argument failed for the hearing on the 29th, then it fails for the 1st of June as well. That means that the terms of the April 20th bond should be reinstated, not reinvented. Judge Lester needs to read his own order and plug his brain into it. He has reached a faulty conclusion.

He acknowledged the evidence and that he looked at it, but he listed no "finding" as to what the evidence meant. I'd be willing to bet that it did influence his decision to grant bail, but he won't admit it in writing.

The judge has definitely put his life in danger with this ruling. His attorney should appeal it. He might be better off in jail rather than trying to meet these new restrictions.

Whatever happened to the cretins who put bounties out?

Judge the state by who they are judging.

If this whole saga wasn't 100% politically-driven from the get-go, this judge, Kenneth R. Lester, would have already been removed from the case. His bias is quite apparent. Zimmerman has become a political football, driven by the worst brand of politics -- those of race. "Justice", whatever that is, has already gone right out the window. A lesson for all CCW holders who end up successfully defending themselves against one of "Obama's sons".

Can't argue with anything you said, but I would wager the piece of crap judge is also anti-second amendment. The whole deal makes me glad to be in Mississippi (transplanted New York Yankee since 1986) because it is highly unlikely the same sort of travesty would be carried out here.

Zimmerman got molestered. That’s short for being screwed by a biased judge I call moron Lester or molester for short.

If Z man skipped bail, I would happily aid, abet, and harbor him.

Indeed. In this situation that would be the only moral thing to do. (I also sent in a little money and will do it again if necessary)

Um, Zimmerman made bail. Apparently this judge didn’t get the latest update on the defense fund: he only made Zimmerman give up a bit less than half of it. The goal was probably to bankrupt him so he couldn’t afford expert counsel. Fail...
