More workers joined the federal government's disability program in June than got new jobs, according to two new government reports, a clear indicator of how bleak the nation's jobs picture is after three full years of economic recovery.
The economy created just 80,000 jobs in June, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. But that same month, 85,000 workers left the workforce entirely to enroll in the Social Security Disability Insurance program, according to the Social Security Administration.
The disability ranks have outpaced job growth throughout President Obama's economic recovery. While the economy has created 2.6 million jobs since June 2009, fully 3.1 million workers signed up for disability benefits.

when we met with the lawyer we are using they told us if my wife was approved in less than 4 months (I think.. might have been 6) they worked for free.
I giggled when they said that and replied “so your telling me no one gets approved before then huh?”

my wife is applying for SSDI. it’s a little different animal than SSI.
Like I said, rampant fraud.
I interview folks like this every week as a triage interviewer at a local food bank. I am outraged on a regular basis. Fraud is rampant in food stamps also.

All kidding aside, I do not know how to get any help with this, without spending tons of cash to get some cash back that I've paid into all my life.

Amen brother...and I can't afford it. For the life of me, I don't understand how ANYBODY can milk the system without already being "sitting pretty", unless I'm of the wrong color, ethnicity or religion.
I'm just a poor wayfaring stranger, because this is not my world.
