Axelrod: Romney "folded" to pressure from the right on health care

Top Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod continued to hammer Mitt Romney's recent decision to label the health care mandate a "tax" rather than a mandate, accusing the presumptive Republican presidential nominee of having "folded" to pressure from the right and "walking away from" his previous beliefs.

Axelrod, appearing on "CBS This Morning" Friday, reiterated the Obama administration's argument that the individual mandate, "whether you call it a mandate, whether you call it a tax, what it is is a penalty on the less than 1 percent of Americans who can afford health insurance and refuse to buy it then show up in our emergency rooms and stick the rest of us with the tab."

Since it is going to be “the right” who will be forced to pay for ObamaCare, Mitt should be listening to them. The freeriding, freeloaders on the left sure as hell won’t pay for it.

Axlegrease is one of the luckiest SOBs alive.

If you look at Obama’s record, every election he’s won has been against a very weak opponent.

Bull Sh!t. If they can afford to pay and refuse to pay, the hospital sues their a$$ off.

It's their precious illegals that get off scot-free

You betcha’, as apposed to Roberts who caved under pressure from left. Romney was pressured to do the right thing, and to his credit, he has responded to that pressure. Obama, thick as a brick, and dumb as a Twinkie, couldn’t be made to do the right thing if you beat him with his wookie.

Romney and Obama are both full of crap with their unconstitutional socialist health care scams!!

They say the problem is with only one percent of the population, yet they both intend to screw ALL of us with their “government provided” solutions. Riiight. I’m from the government and I’m here to help you.

A pox on both of the usurping statist bastards!!

Axelrod doing his best to keep yesterday’s dying story alive. Not going to work. It’s a TAX, the Supremes and Obama’s lawyers told us so.

I don't believe I could lift his wookie to beat him with her.

“on the less than 1 percent of Americans who can afford health insurance and refuse to buy it”

If the penalty is less than the cost of buying insurance, and I think it will be way less, then those with brains will pay the penalty until they need insurance. Whether or not they can afford the insurance is irrelevant.

Anyway, if the hugely controversal and according to the Supreme Court unconstitutional mandate is only to cover one percent of Americans then why bother with it? Fact is, far more than one percent will choose the penalty.

These jerks always come out fighting. The won could say the sky is pink with green polka dots and they would be arguing that it was the gospel truth 5 minutes later.

thanks so much for this link.It was 12 pages long and I read it all. The history of the bent axel and his buddies helps explain a lot about how communism has crept into the picture over and over with this regime.Really very revealing thanks again.

I guess Axel-RED-rod, and some Hospitals in Chicago, never heard of collection agencies.

...oh wait, “Harrison J. Bounel,” an alias identified for Barack Obama by debt-collection and skip-trace expert Albert Hendershot. I guess in the 0bamatax world, debt collectors do not exist

....documents that a Henderson database search from public records conducted March 11 resulted in two different records for Barack Obama’s Social Security number: one for a “Bounel Harrison J” and the other for Barack H. Obama, identified with several variations of “Barack H. Obama” that appeared in the database....

Axelrod may look like a 6,000,000 dead Jews Hitler, but he thinks like the over l00,000,000 dead Stalin. Marxists have a much healthier appitite and mind for blood than did that pipsqueak Hitler.
