From the diseased mind of HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius:
(Emphasis added where appropriate. Snarky comments from me are in [brackets].)
***
"Every American deserves to have a clean, safe and healthy environment. Today, we understand better than ever before that our health is not only dependent on what happens in the doctors office but is determined by the air we breathe, the water we drink and the communities we call home. Over the past two years, the Administration and our agency have taken unprecedented steps to ensure strong protection from environmental and health hazards for all Americans.
Theres nothing more important than health. When we live longer, healthier lives, we have more time to do our jobs, volunteer in our neighborhoods, play with our children, and watch our grandchildren grow up. Health is the foundation of our countrys prosperity. Healthy adults are more productive workers, healthy children are better students and healthy families can make bigger contributions to their communities. [How....Stalinist of her to say.]
In our Environmental Justice Strategy and Implementation Plan, you can find many programs that are already making a difference, such as the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Minority Worker Training Program. This program has awarded grants in more than 30 communities across the United States to recruit and train individuals who live in vulnerable communities at risk of exposure to contaminants for employment in the environmental field.
The Affordable Care Act, the health reform law of 2010, includes a new community transformation grant program that builds on the Economic Empowerment Zone model. By promoting healthy lifestyles, especially among population groups experiencing the greatest burden of chronic disease, these grants help improve health, reduce health disparities, and control health care spending. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made 61 awards, totaling approximately $103 million, to state and local government agencies, Tribes, and territories, and to non-profit organizations. Several awardees are planning to focus on expanding efforts to address healthy and safe physical environments. [And this is Constitutional how, Benedict Roberts ? This isn't a tax, it's social engineering.]
With the release of our Strategy and Implementation Plan, we are renewing our commitment to working with our Federal partners to promote environmental justice. Equally important, we are reaffirming our commitment to work with communities who are eager to get involved in this effort. We look forward to this collaboration as we continue to focus on building safe and healthy communities. ["I have a bad feeling about this!"--Han Solo]

Before we continue, I think we should review exactly what "environmental justice" actually is. Here's the official Federal Leviathan version:
***
"Environmental Justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies'. Executive Order 12898, Federal Actions to Address Environmental Justice in Minority Populations and Low-income Populations requires each Federal agency to 'make achieving environmental justice part of its mission by identifying and addressing, as appropriate, disproportionately high and adverse human health or environmental effects of its programs, policies, and activities on minority populations and low-income populations.' The Executive Order also states that 'each Federal agency responsibility set forth under this order shall apply equally to Native American programs.' "

***
No, that didn't make any sense to me, either. Let's ask the expert, Van Jones.
Heywaitaminute! Van Jones ? Isn't he---
That's right. That's the same Van Jones that Glenn Beck outed as a commie, and that's the same Van Jones who used to be Chairman Obama's "Green Jobs Czar" until he was quietly fired on a moonlit Friday night.
***
"Mother Jones: Can you briefly explain what 'environmental justice' means to you?
Van Jones: Environmental justice is the movement to ensure that no community suffers disproportionate environmental burdens or goes without enjoying fair environmental benefits."
http://motherjones.com/environment/2008/10/qa-van-jones
***
Vannie, Vannie, Vannie. You're holding out on us! Let's try that again, but this time, give us that old, tired commie pinko self-righteous victim rhetoric:
***
"MJ: What's the relationship between environmental justice and sustainability ?
VJ: Well, the only reason that we have the unsustainable accounting that we have right now is because incinerators, dumping grounds, and sacrifice zones were put where poor people live. It would never have been allowed if you had to put all the incinerators and nasty stuff in rich people's neighborhoods; we'd have had a sustainable economy a long time ago. We'd have had a clean and green economy a long time ago. It's the environmental racism that allowed the powerful people in society to turn a blind eye for decades to the downsides of the industrial system that got us to this point. So there's a direct relationship between environmental racism and the lack of sustainability of society as a whole. We were the canaries in the coal mines, crying for relief. Now finally the consequences are affecting everyone, with global warming and everything else. The other thing is that the environmental justice agenda is also changing. Before, it was much stronger on demanding equal protection from environmental bad. Now we are also demanding equal opportunity and equal access to environmental good. We don't want to be first and worst with all the toxins and all the negative effects of global warming, and then benefit last and least from all the breakthroughs in solar, wind energy, organic food, all the positives. We want an equal share, an equitable share, of the work wealth and the benefits of the transition to a green economy."

So in other words, "environmental justice" is a ---
A "green" version of "social justice", yes. And, as we all know--
"Social Justice" is nothing more than a polite word for--
Marxism.
I really wish you'd stop interrupting me, it's--
Rather rude ? Don't worry. I won't do it anymore. The gag's done.
All kidding aside, this is some pretty serious stuff. What exactly does Frau Sebelius' plan entail ?

"To update the 1995 HHS EJ Strategy, HHS created an Environmental Justice Strategic Planning Committee, composed of representatives from agencies and offices across HHS. The Committee reviewed past and current environmental justice programs and accomplishments to glean lessons learned and build upon successful strategies and activities. HHS also engaged multiple stakeholders during the strategic planning process in order to hear community and other stakeholder concerns, discuss best practices and model programs, and learn about ongoing and emerging environmental justice issues impacting Americans.
The 2012 HHS EJ Strategy provides direction for HHS efforts to achieve environmental justice as part of its mission by: (1) identifying and addressing disproportionately high and adverse human health and environmental effects on low-income populations and Indian Tribes, and (2) encouraging the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of affected parties with the goal of building healthy, resilient communities and reducing disparities in health and well-being associated with environmental factors. Driven by public input and HHS support, the strategy maintains the following three guiding principles:
Create and implement meaningful public partnerships Ensure interagency and intra-agency coordination Establish and implement accountability measures
On the basis of the guiding principles, the 2012 HHS EJ Strategy is organized into four strategic elements; (1) Policy Development and Dissemination, (2) Education and Training, (3) Research and Data Collection, Analysis, and Utilization, and (4) Services. The 2012 HHS EJ Strategy reflects new and ongoing actions that are underway or planned for the near term. Each strategic element is aligned with targeted goals, strategies, and actions to be undertaken by HHS. The heightened coordination within and outside of HHS and the engagement of communities and other stakeholders will facilitate the implementation of the 2012 HHS EJ Strategy and support the realization of the vision."

"Strategic Element I: Policy Development and Dissemination
Goals:
Strengthen the application of health and environmental statutes and policies in minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes.
Identify and address, as appropriate, human health or environmental effects of HHS programs, policies, and activities on minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes.
Support and advance a 'health in all policies' approach that protects and promotes the health and well-being of minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures.
Strategies:
Integrate environmental justice principles and strategies into the implementation of key statutes and policies that may impact minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes.
Incorporate environmental justice principles and strategies into consideration of emerging issues that may disproportionately impact minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes.
Provide consultation and/or partner with other Federal departments, where appropriate and feasible, on environmental policies, programs and initiatives that may impact health and well-being, with particular attention to minority and low-income populations and Indian Tribes.
Strategic Element II: Education and Training
Goals:
Educate communities, workers, the general public, health professionals, human services providers and the HHS workforce about environmental justice and environmental health to empower them to actively participate in the development and implementation of programs, policies and activities impacting and serving minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures. [In layman's terms, this means propaganda.]
Build a health workforce prepared to prevent and diagnose conditions associated with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures and to provide high quality, culturally competent care. [????]
Strategies:
Educate the public, especially in communities with minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures, about environmental justice, environmental hazards, and healthy community environments. [Again, this means propaganada.]
Enhance health professionals and human services providers education and training in environmental health and environmental justice. [Time to indoctrinate the docs!]
Increase the knowledge and understanding of health and environmental justice across HHS agencies and among HHS employees.
Strategic Element III: Research and Data Collection, Analysis, and Utilization
Goals:
Strengthen research and advance data collection on the health and environment of minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes.
Empower the public to participate in the development and implementation of HHS policies, programs, and interventions by improving access to data and research findings on the risks of adverse environmental exposures.
Strategies:
Increase the involvement of minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures in research and in data collection and utilization, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Identify and characterize environmental and occupational factors that have disproportionately high and adverse human health or environmental effects on minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes.
Bolster the efforts of HHS, state, local, territorial, and tribal agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations, to collect, maintain, and analyze data on disproportionately high and adverse environmental and occupational exposures and on health effects in minority and low-income populations and Indian Tribes.
Strategic Element IV: Services
Goals:
Improve access to and quality of care and services for minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures.
Advance the economic potential and social well-being of minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures.
Strategies
Increase the capacity of health professionals delivering care and services to minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures to prevent, diagnose, and treat medical and behavioral health conditions associated with adverse environmental exposures.
Identify minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures, as well as the physical and behavioral health conditions and concerns of communities affected by these exposures.
Provide technical assistance and information resources to minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures in order to empower communities to address identified health and human services needs.
Provide funding opportunities and technical assistance to advance the economic potential and social well-being of minority and low-income populations and Indian tribes with disproportionately high and adverse environmental exposures."

And this is another reason why the end is nigh.
The Doomday Clock is at 11:59:00.
Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock......
The thing not to lose sight of here is the real enemy - the one that is pulling not only her and Obama’s strings, but national politicians’ the world over, is the UN, and those secretive cabals with members like Soros that back them.
It’s just hard to believe they could be so brazen and no one with any sort of a voice that would be heard will say a thing. Pay for programs with tax dollars that will make the economy like the old Soviet Union.
Hey, I think I found something very, very important. This a pretty important ping.
The Obamacarelesstax is much, much worse than we had anticipated. The vast majority of this information comes from the HHS website.
Please, please pass this on to your pinglists, email lists, Facebook friends, Twitter followers, or whatever. You can tell them you wrote it, Howdy Doody wrote it, or whatever. I don’t care. Someone needs to be talking about this.
Ping!
This has Agenda 21 written all over it.
It’s not that hard to believe. They no longer care what we think just like they no longer care what the Constitution says.
We are in massive trouble. There is no turning back now.
I think this is very important. Can you ping your list ?
Over here, please?
I think this is very important. Can you ping your list ?
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
This information needs to get out there.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Yikes!
Thanks, buddy.
This is NOT a good thing.
I know!
Facist beyotch!
If you could, please ping your list. I think this is pretty important.
*Yikes!* squared, and it’s very good to “see” you! ;o)
Excellent post, thanks.
I think null and void is the best to ping on this one ...
Ah yes.....approaching Armageddon with a smile!
:)
Out of normal and healthy curiosity, why isn’t this being mentioned in the arrogant and lazy media ?
I know the answer, but I want someone else to say it so I don’t feel crazy.
Glad you enjoyed it, FRiend!
Ping!
LOL, I would if I had one.
Ping!
I do mine from memory. In other words, I make it up as I go along.
:)
I wonder if Benedict Roberts knew this crap was in the Obamacarelesstax. How he could find this Constitutional is beyond me.(Assuming, that is,that he even read it.)
I just love Marxists-speak. It sounds so meaningless it can mean anything.
Is this how it ends ?
Really, I have to ask.
Is this how it ends ?
Ping to ye pingers. Must read.
Then send.
Then pray.
Or pray before, during, and after.
But pray.
That’s why they’re so dangerous. If cornered, they can always claim that they were misquoted, it’s all part of a vast “Right Wing Conspiracy”, the Koch brothers are at it again, etc.
Funny thing is, I found this stuff on the HHS website by using this weird thing called “Bing”. Just imagine what could be accomplished if “professional” journalists would learn to do the same.
Amen!
Please allow me to add to the list from my earlier post to another thread, seen below, by stating unequivocally: Sebelius is a Communist, the UN is Communist, Van Jones is a Communist, Agenda 21 is Communist. Social Justice is Communist. Environmental Justice is Communist. Any questions?

(My Post From Thread Earlier Today)
“I get a big kick out of the whole dance our side - following the Lefts lead - uses to avoid calling a Communist a Communist: Lets just use the fashionable hyphenated-Marxist label instead, shall we.
“Is Alexrod a FabianSocialist-Marxist, a Progressive-Marxist, a Socialist-Marxist, a BigGovernment-Marxist, a Globalist-Marxist, a Statist-Marxist, a Nationalist-Marxist, a Keynesian-Marxist, a mere Leftist- or Liberal-Marxist, or is he, dare we say it, a COMMUNIST-Marxist!? (OMG!!!)
“For the sake of staying focused, lets just use the C-word, Communist, shall we? They all want to eventually move us to Communism, even if they they couch it in softer terms to lull us to sleep along the way.
“Axelrod is a Communist. Obama is a Communist. Hillary is a Communist. Soros is a Communist. Reid is a Communist. Pelosi is a Communist. Jarrett is a Communist. Michele is a Communist. Biden is a Communist. Panetta is a Communist. Ginsberg is a Communist. Get it. They all have the same agenda for our country, and it aint pretty, and people better wake up.”
Everything they’re doing points to them wanting to run the economy from top to bottom. If they get to do it, the only question is how soon and how badly will they fail and what will they do about it. My bet is that it will be a steady decline and adverse consequences will be given short shrift. They want a two-class serf society. I think they will be succesful. They have totalitarian models from the 20th century to learn from and copy and improve upon.
The problem is there are very few people who have a clue of what’s coming. Educated people who think that it could never happen here. Educated people who don’t even know what it is, those who are clueless of the totalitarian excesses of the last century.
Also, there is a problem with understanding economics and this is true of both the left and right. How many have a clue what Keynesianism is? How many know that Keynes was a communist and also one of the most brilliant and charming men who ever lived. Keynes ideas were designed to move societies slowly towards socialism with one end goal always in mind, the communist utopia.
Those people don’t look genetically likely to survive what’s coming, but they do look like they might taste good to zombies. Veal comes to mind.
>> This has Agenda 21 written all over it.
>> I think this is very important. Can you ping your list ?
It’s important all right, and yes, Agenda 21 is what I was thinking of but couldn’t remember the name, but I don’t want to dictate to people what they read.
The ping list is for notification of Daniel Greenfield articles - not those I that personally decide merit reading. I wouldn’t be too concerned about the list members not being aware of Agenda 21 and the international implications of the the ‘green’ agenda though, I’ve noticed Daniel increasingly stressing that dimension of this and other tactics the Marxists use to try and bring about a one-world (and only one) government.
It’s as if the Communists learned the devil’s trick of making the world believe they do not exist.
Save
The inability of our side to call communism “communism” will be one of several factors in our decline as a nation.
Thank you!
Gotcha. No problem.
“Educated people who think that it could never happen here. Educated people who dont even know what it is, those who are clueless of the totalitarian excesses of the last century.”
Most “educated” people aren’t people aren’t educated-—they’re indoctrinated. No critical thinking necessary. (Excluding, of course, doctors, nurses, scientists, etc. I’m talking about political science majors, English majors, interpretive dance majors, that sort of thing)
I’m talking about people who work in professional jobs and do have the capacity to understand if they could even bring themselves to believe that the cold war could have been lost and although it appears we won it, these new developments here indicate that may not be the case.
There are plenty of people who have been conditioned to think anyone who mentions communism as a potential threat is nuts.
Health is the foundation of our animal farm's prosperity. Healthy hens are more productive layers, healthy fryers are better eating and healthy flocks can produce more meat for the collective to consume in government regulated serving sizes so as to insure the elite managers get their self determined fair share of all that is produced.
PING
It would be funny if it were not so bizarre and frightening, Barry's “FORWARD” slogan? He is marching the country backwards to 1962 Soviet Union-ville.
...And Van Jones? THIS is Val Jarrett's brilliant boy wonder? This fool? He just keeps popping up, doesn't he, like in a whack-a-mole game. Last I read, about 4 months ago he was Head Cheese of the Occupy Movement and had BIG PLANS for the summer. I guess that didn't pan out.
Old Van is a watermelon...Green on the outside, red on the inside. Very creepy guy...and a fav of The Smartest Guy Ever.
Bizarro world we are living in.
Everything theyre doing points to them wanting to run the economy from top to bottom. If they get to do it, the only question is how soon and how badly will they fail and what will they do about it. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I think it will be a much quicker decline than most people realize.
Some disturbing findings going through the bill:
Obamacare/ commiecare is what is intended to collapse the system
PPACA Waivers and the Roberts Decision

They are doing away with this type of policy & it would force more people into the exchanges.
And it says that those who had those types of policies will not be able to afford the mandated policy.
Now take a look at the wealth redistribution plan:

“enable the real-time (or near real time) determination of an individuals financial responsibility at the point of service and, to the extent possible, prior to service, including whether the individual is eligible for a specific service with a specific physician at a specific facility, which may include utilization of a machine-readable health plan beneficiary identification card;
What IS troubling is that it says “determination of an individual’s financial responsibility” - which means they have the power to decide that WE have to pay for the service, or we have to pay more than someone else for that service. Marxism straight up. And what the heck do they mean by “beneficiary identification card”? Beneficiary means, “one that benefits from something”, but it also means - and most of us recognize this word and use it as, “the person designated to receive the income of a trust estate”. What this says to me (knowing pretty much how they think and what their agenda is), is that they’re either going to consider medical care as a privilege granted by them (we’re their beneficiary) and they get to be God and decide whether we’ll receive it or not, or that they’re not only going to base their decision of whether or not to let us have the service or based on our own finances, but also based on money and assets that we are beneficiaries for - or both of those things!!
so let me give an example... let’s say Laura needs a medical service. They’re going to look at Laura’s finances to decide how much she needs to pay for that service. If Laura has ‘more’ money/assets than someone else, her financial responsibility will be greater (there’s the Marxism of it all, but also the govt’s ability to instantly know everything about Laura’s finances - Holy crap!). But ALSO (and this is opinion on my part, simply based on what this section says and could actually mean when it’s implemented), they will look at what Laura’s parents have if she is a beneficiary of their estate. It won’t matter that what her parents have is needed to sustain them throughout their retirement years, it will only matter what money and assets they have at the time Laura needs that service. So if her parents saved all their lives, doing the right thing, so that they could pay their own way in their retirement years and/or have enough left to leave a little something for their children, the govt will look at that as something to be liquidated/drawn upon for the service that Laura needs today.
One last troubling thing about this section... where it says, “including whether the individual is eligible for a specific service with a specific physician at a specific facility”... WHAT?!! So the govt will decide which doctor we will use and which facility we can go to. As if that isn’t bad enough, there are two things we know from experience... this kind of power (which the govt now has because Ocare is law) lets the govt choose the winners and losers - so if their buddy-doctor or facility-owner who is greasing their palms privately (think kickbacks; think govt union because it’s coming) can provide the service, the patient can be forced to go to that doctor at that dictated facility (corruption will be rampant!). The other thing about this is that if we are, let’s say, an ‘undesireable’, they have the power to force us to go to someone/place that provides sub-standard care or to someone who will dictate strict controls on our behavior so that the govt can monitor us and tax us more if we do not comply.
You are going to see a mass exit of folks from the US if this creep gets reelected and this bull **it remains in effect.
