I heard a song on the Radio when visiting Alabama last month that was a Parody of "Play that funky music white boy" called "Next Time I'm Voting for the White Boy" and it was hysterical, but I haven't been able to find a copy of it, or who wrote it/sang it etc since..
Does anyone know?
Probably in Axelrod’s desk drawer (because it sounds like agitprop he’d put out to paint us all as racists)
You do realize that they already consider you a racist no matter what you say or do, don’t you?
A Google search turns it up at #2.
To bad somebody did a song like that, I would like to see all of the race based politics exclusively on the democrat side.
Not sure what you searched for, but I am not getting that, Search for “next time I’m voting for the white boy” brings up some “white boy” song that has nothing to do with the parody.
My guess is if you heard it on the radio in Alabama you might have heard it on “The John Boy and Billy Show”. A local morning show through out the south..... They do have CD’s of some of their best bits but i’m not sure if that would be on one of them or not. You could try their website thebigshow.com for more info if you like.....
What are you talking about? Its song sung from the perspective of a black conservative who regrets letting race play a part in his vote in 08.. its hysterical.
Just frustrated I can’t find it.
Sounds like the old "play that funky music" to me...
I guess I was making my search TOO specific, that’s it.. thank you:

I think it's the second hit ("Mormon cracker", LOL!), but the first is pretty good, too, and it's from clear back in August 2009!
I think the artist is in Gitmo......
Yes you would, you say.
Well, that just goes to prove you're NOT a racist!
pinging this for later. NOthing I love more than a good parody.
I admit, I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes the first time I heard this one.
That IS good. Give that Mormom cracker dude a try, LOL, love it!
We need to get this out there more, very funny stuff.
Hubby has a whole album of songs Louden Wainwright III did for NPR on topical stuff. They are not parodies, but you know they are parody-esque. This reminds me of those.
Here is a youtube of one of the best ones, his song about Y2K. Of course it’s outdated now, but still funny. And this is not the best version (the album version was much better, it had the funk going on) but it is still pretty funny. You can skip about the first minute of palaver.

Heard back to my inquiry to the John Boy and Billy show, and it was indeed them and they are hoping to have it up for download on their site this week.
Hopefully this will get play elsewhere, because its definitely something that should get play.
