(Reuters) - Former top executives of a failed U.S. bank in Norfolk, Virginia, have been indicted by a federal grand jury on bank fraud and other charges for hiding loan losses in a scheme that allegedly led to the bank's demise, officials said Thursday.

Prosecutors said they have taken six defendants into custody, including Woodward, 69. His attorney did not immediately return a call seeking comment. Six others, including former employees and customers, have pleaded guilty in the case.
YES!! It's about time. These "bank executives" have been getting away with this stuff for way too long. I hope all of them get real jail sentences and long probations.
Time to get tough with these criminals. Demonstrate the deterrent.

Not guilty! They were only forced into steal , by Farnk-Dodd and other excessive government regulations! The pressure from these rules left them no choice, but to steal! (sarc)
