Here’s your VP nominee

At least that had been the goal through-out Santorum's run in the primaries. Mission Accomplished!

Here’s your VP nominee

Oh if that becomes true, I just may be able to vote for this ticket....Santorum would be an incredible VP....I would rather Santorum try to take him on at the convention and get the nomination. That would make me VERY happy!!!!

It's a shame that we would have to choose who would be best for the job based on skin color or sex.

But you do have a point. Romney once ran to the left of Ted Kennedy on affirmative action.

That would be the ultimate insult, as one who supported Santorum. He’d be politically dead to me if he accepted the VP role.

But as for who gave us Romney, you might want to talk to Newt about that.

Santorum Gave Us Romney

Total BS....Santorum won more states than any other person. He should storm the convention and demand the nomination. Santorum would win the election, liberal Romney will lose it. What a failed opportunity that we put ourselves in....ROMNEY?????? Sheesh was a liberal jerk Romney is. I just can’t believe only a small number of patiots on Free Republic think Romney is a disasterous candidate while the other lap up his ever word like he is their pet or something. It is rather repulsive.

You mean like Algore should have been President in 2000 because he won the popular vote?

I agree, Santorum gave us Romney. I stuck Santorum way down the list of viable presidential candidates right next to Huckabee. Neither one of them could win a general election, nor are they capable of fix the problems we have, IMO.

Your post makes no sense....The Democrats did not demand that Gore be the nominee he was basically automatic since he was VP. Santorum is a million times better than you beloved crush Romney. You people who love Romney make me sick!!!!!

Santorum’s whole argument for the nomination was that God loved him more than the other candidates. Everything was about appearance, having the word “courageous” on the wall behind him as he talked, repeating stuff about family, faith, God and country, without being too specific. The first issue on his Issues page was an article about the evils of pornagraphy.

There was never any doubt that Santorum would fail to get the nomination. He was too polarizing because his record did not back up his claims of being a man of integrity. But what was guaranteed was that he would fool enough conservatives for long enough to split the conservative vote so that the libs in the party and outside the party in the Open Primary states could get Willard in.

Santorum was this election’s Huckabee.

Nobody “loves” Romney, but this is the hand we’ve been dealt. Vote your conscience, I am not going to criticize anybody for that....I just want that Kenyan out of the WH, by hook or by crook, and deal with the aftermath when the time comes.

You're preaching to the choir. Nobody likes Romney. The reason we're rooting for him is simple. The alternative is Obama. Bottom line is that Romney won the most number of GOP primary delegates, and those delegates represent the votes of the majority of primary voters. Santorum did not lose because the GOPe voted against him - he lost because the rank and file voted against him. Like it or, we are a fringe - an influential fringe as the Harriet Miers and immigration reform revolts during GWB's terms of office made clear - but definitely a fringe, as our high-profile and ignominious losses on so many other issues have shown.

Incredible?
A VP has two jobs.
Break a tie in the senate, and go to funeral ceremonies.
