Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.’s mother, Jacqueline Jackson, told a Rainbow/PUSH conference Friday that her son has suffered years of “enormous disappointment.”
“I’m not ashamed to say ... he thought he was going to be a senator. He thought he was going to have a chance to run for mayor. And young people don’t bounce back from disappointment like me and my husband,” she said.

1) I wasn’t a pitcher for the NY Yankees
2) I never got to play basketball for my beloved Syracuse Orangemen.
3) I wasn’t a rock star.
4) I never won the lottery.
5) I never spent a year at the playboy mansion.
6) I missed out buying cheap Dell and Microsoft stock.
7) I look too much like Woody Harrelson.
8) I was like the Judge Reinhold character from Fast Times rather than the Jeff Spicoloi in high school.
9) I’ll never be an astronaut.
