Maybe Romney should just out and out lie. Say that obozo was involved in the white slave trade in Japan or something.

I mean, when baldfaced lying is tolerated you might as well allow it on both sides.

Although some documents place the Republican presidential hopeful in charge of Bain from 1999 to 2001, a period in which the company outsourced jobs and ran companies that fell into bankruptcy, it is not related to who was running Bain at the time, the Times reported.

What difference does it make?

We all know that those in business can't do business alone....

Was it Clinton's fault that Romney is a felony?

Mr. RomneyCARE received $100,000 per year salary.
And he Owned 100%,
but had not control.

Anyone who believes that is a fool.

in some books an 'ownership interest' means something. I believe he said he could have made decisions but he didn't.

So, he elected to NOT make decisions regarding the steel mill deal, the fetal recycling deal, the.....

So many decisions.... so little time.... too busy.

So, a question ~ did Romney decide to NOT go back to bain as an active partner, or was he asked to stay away?

Nobody examined any detail of what Obama did for nearly 4 decades before he was elected and innaugurated.

Why does anybody care about the equivalent of 20 minutes of Mitt Romney's life?

Everybody just needs to shut up and find something else to do.

Well, if the Times says it it must be true.

Do I really need a sarcasm tag?

Romney claims that running Bain gives him the business experience to be president and especially the experience to turn the economy around. Lord knows his experience in governing Massachusetts is not what we need or want nor is it the kind of thing that would turn the economy around. Now he’s running away from Bain? Well, he’ll claim the credit for anything good it did, but can’t have that sullied with anything possibly bad.

Bain and capitalism were attacked here at FR and by Republican candidates during the primary. Nobody should be surprised that the left was listening.

Obama’s attacks on this topic only serve to show how completely clueless Obama is about business & basics thereof.

I could be a major/total stockholder in a family business & yet have absolutely no activity in the day to day running of the business.

Romney is apparently the sole stockholder & CEO of Bain. That was correctly reported to the SEC. He took a sabbatical to work for the 2002 Olympics. Even if he was paid full salary while on that leave, it would be his priviledge to do so. IIRC, he took exactly $1 per year to straighten out the Olympics. It would be painfully obvious to even a 3rd grader that the day to day running of both would not be possible.

The astounding stupidity of Obama & his henchpersons is truly something to behold, along with their refusal to say they are wrong about ANYTHING.

While they are getting lots of press on this topic, they are going behind our backs & trying to sign treaties which will hamper our 2nd Amendment rights & allow taxes from the UN which would apply to all US citizens.

Obama set out to create chaos in this country & he is doing a great job-—

Too bad that isn’t what he was elected to do.

When will American voters wake up? Hopefully before November.

So we now have the prestigious and nigh infallible (during the GOP primary) factcheck.org, the Washington Post and the NY Times on Romney's side on the Bain issue.

And yet, Obama and the Democrats persist. They are not concerned about the press.

What does that tell us?

The title of this article could be “Romney Wades Into Raging River to Rescue Basket of Drowing Kittens” and some people here would still find a way to savage him.
