A lawyer for accused murderer George Zimmerman said today that a woman who claims he molested her for years as a child was Zimmerman's cousin and said his legal team would "vigorously defend" him against the allegations.
Lawyer Mark O'Mara also appeared to question why the prosecution released the woman's accusation. In a statement released today, O'Mara said that he had sought to block the release last month arguing, "The content of this statement is not relevant to the issues of this case, and it would not be admissible in the state's case in chief."

The press and the prosecution is LITERALLY looking like “pre-teen children”. They insult our intelligence with their assumption this will, in any way, play in their favor.
They are trying to taint the jury pool.
His lawyer should be in jail. He knew about at least $37,000 of the money Zimmerman had in the Paypal account well before the initial bond hearing, yet he didn’t say anything to the judge and he allowed Shellie Zimmerman to perjure herself or at least to appear to perjure herself. O’Mara does not have Zimmerman’s best interest in mind. Zimmerman should replace him with a competent attorney who will fight for him, like Hal Uhlrig, who was his first attorney in this case.

What the heck?
1. She called police, to tell them this, a month after the shooting....although the molesting allegedly started 20 years ago, and ended 10 years ago?
2. The alleged molesting started when Zimmerman was 8 years old?
3. Even if these allegations were true, so what...doesn’t affect what happened with Martin.
I don’t think the Zimmerman’s had access to that PayPal account.
She doesn’t tell her parents.
She doesn’t tell other siblings so they can tell her parents.
She doesn’t report it to any of her friends so they can get help.
She doesn’t report it to her teacher.
She doesn’t report it to her pastor.
She doesn’t report the kid to the police.
Now she brings the issue up decade(s) later.
Was she a willing participant? Frankly, if she didn’t complain before this, it wreaks of that.
Never the less, despite all this, Zimmerman is now tainted as a child molester in public before a jury is selected.
This has become so absurd, that next I’m expecting them to tell us he was once caught masturbating. Oh yes, and once when he was five he forgot to lock the bathroom door, and his sister walked in on him while he was drying off.

No, it was George’s Paypal account. He had about $135,000 in it, I think, at the time this was going on. The reason George’s wife, Shellie, has been charged with perjury is that she told the judge that they had no assets that they could liquidate and no other means to pay for George’s defense, but they have her and George recorded talking about the money in the Paypal account (talking in code). But clearly, the Zimmerman’s did have access to this money. The point is that George’s lawyer KNEW the account existed, and he KNEW that there was at least $37,000 in the account prior to the first bond hearing, because George told him that he had tried to transfer $37,000 out but was prevented from doing so since it was more than $10,000. Any lawyer would have asked “well, how much is in the account in total?” - especially before a bond hearing when his client’s credibility and his client’s financial means are central issues.

Try reading the transcript of Zimmerman’s wife’s testimony.
The court knew about the Paypal account. His wife did not know the exact amount but stated that the court could find out by calling Zimmerman’s brother who ran the account.
If it were important, all the court had to do was make a phone call.
