Uniformed military to march in Pride Parade, into history [Barf]
The San Diego Union-Tribune ^ | July 18, 2012 | Matthew T. Hall

It won’t matter how hot it gets or how much she sweats or how many people around her are wearing T-shirts or less on Saturday during San Diego’s gay Pride Parade.

Joanna Gasca won’t take off her jacket. It means too much to her.

After nearly 29 years and countless uniform changes in the U.S. Air Force, Gasca [pictured below] will don her blue jacket to march with a uniformed, active-duty military contingent in her hometown’s Pride Parade for the first time.

.
.
This year, organizers added another first: They urged service members to ask their commanding officers for permission to march in their uniforms.

It’s tough to argue with the rationale. The Pride Parade is a civic, even patriotic, event — rather than a political one. Police officers and firefighters march, and the Department of Defense doesn’t prohibit participation.

Her passion about the parade is matched by her pride about wearing a uniform instead of the T-shirt she put on a year ago.

“No one gets deployed in just a T-shirt,” Saldana said. “No one gets to fight for our country in just a T-shirt. No one is recognized as an American service member as easily in a T-shirt. We’re loud and proud, and I think these uniforms are very loud and allow us to be very proud.”

Sick, twisted, perversion of the Military in full swing now (pun intended) courtesy of the Homosexual in Chief - with some serving openly under (and apparently saluting) the "rainbow flag".

Don McLean wrote a song over 30 years ago called The Pride Parade. The lyrics are unintentionally prescient.

“It started out quite simply, as complex things can do;
A set of sad transparencies till no one could see through,
But least of all the one inside, behind the iron glass;
A prisoner of all your dreams that never come to pass.

“Alone you stand, corrupted by the vision that you sought,
And blinded by your hunger, all your appetites are bought,
But in spite of what becomes of you, your image will remain;
A reminder of your constant loss, a symbol of your gain.

“And your friends are together,
Where the people are all gathered,
All along the road you traveled all your days.

“And soon, you have succumbed to what the others all believe,
And though the lie affects them still it’s you that they deceive,
And all at once you’re lost within the emptiness of you,
And there’s no one left who’s near enough to tell you what to do.

“You’re left with nothing but your self-potential in the dark,
Like tinder resting on a rock, protected from the spark,
But your fire just consumes you, you alone can feel the pain,
And you stand in all your glory and you know you can’t complain.

“But your friends are together,
Where the people are all gathered,
All along the road you traveled all your days.

“But you are surely just as evil as the worst my tongue can tell,
For you’ll never face my heaven and I’ll not endure your hell.
You have lost the chance to mingle by your constant, quiet lies;
Deceptions hidden with your lips, but spoken with your eyes.

“For I know you for what you are, not for that’s really all you are.
And your talents of a minor order seem to stretch too far.
And we both know that this masquerade can’t carry on too long.
You’re deep inside the Pride Parade, but where do you belong?

“And your friends are together,
Where the people are all gathered,
All along the road you traveled all your days.”

Remember that the fast majority of those in the combat levels; the sergeants, the captains, the majors...especially in the combat arms branches, do not agree with the chicken politics of Obama and the Generals. 504th, Afghanistan, May 2012

How is this parade not political?

One of the only differentiating factors in the current presidential race has to do with gay marriage.

Its political. Keep the uniforms out of it.

Uniformed military to march in Pride Parade, into history [Barf]

The military takes it's orders from the (bisexual?) president. They do as they're told. That doesn't mean they approve.

I believe after 2012, if we can get the radical-n-chief back to community organizing, this type of dysfunctional behavior will cease.

Let us assume that there will be a scheduled Heterosexual Pride parade, and the military is invited to march in it.

Anyone wanna bet what the Obamadorks, the bottom-O-the-SAT press, and University Useless Department “Professors” would have to say?

I would wish that to be true. I don’t know anymore that it’s true.

What is the difference between a uniformed military member marching in a “gay pride” parade and participating in uniform in a pro-gun rally, or a Tea Party rally?

Yeah, right. The Dysfunctional United States of Homosexual Sex (D.U.S.H.S.)
Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? (Massive sarcasm)

So when do the Celebrate Heterosexuality parades start? Isn't it about time the heterosexuals rose up and had a national day of family, children, and American apple pie?

A patriotic event?

I think not.

Go to zombietime.com and check out some of the gay pride parade photos. Some of the most obscene stuff you can imagine.

Any service member in uniform who salutes a Gay Pride flag should be seen at court-martial. Period.

I believe there is a regulation against participating in political advocacy while in uniform.

In a related story, the Pedophile Pride Parade has also urged service members to ask their commanding officers for permission to march in their uniforms.

Yeah. It's a national disgrace. This abomination shows us all how far America has fallen.

It's like I've always said - Oboma is finishing the job his muslim brothers failed to do on 9/11.
Destroy our economy - check!
Destroy our military - check!
Destroy our form of government - check!

Wesley Clark says 92 percent of troops surveyed would have no problem after a “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal

It’s worth noting that even at these higher rates, only a minority of survey respondents said that repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” would produce exclusively negative consequences. So while the level of comfort Clark cites — 92 percent — is too high, the survey nonetheless found a notable degree of comfort with a repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” within the ranks. (Or at least a tolerance for repeal. Only about 18 percent of all respondents went so far as to say repeal would be “very positive” or “positive,” while 52 percent — an absolute majority — said it would either have no effect on performance or an equal mix of positive and negative effects.)

So Clark is generally right that only a small minority of service members think a repeal would have negative or very negative effects on unit performance, but he exaggerates just how small that minority is. For this reason, we rate his statement Half True.
