Uniformed military to march in Pride Parade, into history [Barf]
The San Diego Union-Tribune ^ | July 18, 2012 | Matthew T. Hall

It won’t matter how hot it gets or how much she sweats or how many people around her are wearing T-shirts or less on Saturday during San Diego’s gay Pride Parade.

Joanna Gasca won’t take off her jacket. It means too much to her.

After nearly 29 years and countless uniform changes in the U.S. Air Force, Gasca [pictured below] will don her blue jacket to march with a uniformed, active-duty military contingent in her hometown’s Pride Parade for the first time.

.
.
This year, organizers added another first: They urged service members to ask their commanding officers for permission to march in their uniforms.

It’s tough to argue with the rationale. The Pride Parade is a civic, even patriotic, event — rather than a political one. Police officers and firefighters march, and the Department of Defense doesn’t prohibit participation.

So, a Marine at Camp Pendleton gets booted because he expressed his opinion on a private blog site, yet these twinks want to march in uniform?

Associating the uniform with a political statement is wrong whenever it is done.

67 Percent of Marine Combat Forces Say Putting Homosexuals in Their Units Will Hurt...

Who’d have guessed there would come a day when the Boy Scouts had tougher standards than the US military?

Its my understanding of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and current Dept of Defense regulations that active duty military personnel may not march in any parade in uniform including parades for July 4th, Memorial Day etc.
That is not up to any base Commander.
That said, anyone that would so defile the Uniform by marching in a pervert parade should be arrested by Military Police, Court Martialed and Dishonorably Discharged

Homosexuals in the military are like tee hee termites in the mahogany...a hard strong wood resistant to normal biological toxins meeting alien freakish deviant and abnormal assaults from sick and wrong agents bent on making the whole unwholesome and thus subject to corruption and control.

Will the DOD allow military/naval members to present themselves in uniform at Pro-Life or Pro-Marriage or partisan political events? Thought not.

Also, the image of “twits” in uniform saluting any flag other than that of our nation or the several states (or another nation, ceremonially, as appropriate) is most resentful to me and our status as a soveriegn nation.

Our national military leaders have no balls it seems to do right or resign, (”fortitude” for those who are “inclusive”).

I retired from active duty only a few years ago (2006) and I work on a major Army installation, however, the military I see represented in the media and in policy does not reflect what I see daily in the form of boots on the ground and in the acts of our young warriors.

It has been my expereince in conversation that while our uniformed personnel ackowledge that some choose to be (sodomites) they do not desire to know about that or heterosexual exploits either.

Our military has had a long tradition of being rather apolitical in policy and accommodating of most rational political and social viewpoints, (but not most behaviors). It is rather silly to assume that policy promoting, not just allowing, abnormal sexual conduct (yes, ab-normal) would have no impact on the ability of our nations forces to accomplish every mission with aplomb and minimal loss of life (on either side).

Social experiments belong in labs, not in the critical context of a nations war-fighting prowess.

God Help us, as it seems we have loss our compass.

(POST- I note in advance that my viewpoint may not be agreeable to many-even in this forum-whatever.)

I agree with you totally. You had to have served to really understand how things are in close quarters. Even officers don’t know because they don’t have to share quarters, at least not in the AF.

The ones really affected are the poor souls in the barracks. I’m sure they will cover up the truth like they cover everything else up.

I cannot describe in mere words how sick this whole development makes me. After having been in the AF for 28 and retiring eight years ago, to see people wearing American military uniforms saluting a “flag” that symbolizes such debauchery is the farthest fall from grace imaginable.

FUBO, and FU to EVERY EFF-ING FUDGEPACKER BACKER IN THE SENATE AND HOUSE WHO VOTED FOR THE REPEAL OF DADT!!!!!! Burn in hell, the lot of you!

This disgusts me and I’ve never served in the military.

Even I know not to disgrace the uniform.

Burn a US flag-—free speech.
Burn a gay pride flag-—hate crime.

Some things were not just thought out when DADT was overturned.

In a heated battle, five Marines are in a fox hole in
Afganistan, two of them being known homosexuals.

Coming directly at the Marines are 15 or more taliban fighters and for a few seconds the Marines are stunned. All the sudden the platoon sgt says “what are you waiting for, shoot the cock*uckers!

See the problem?

what a bunch of baloney.....there is nothing patriotic about homosexuality...its abnormal...its a perversion...its unhealthy and even deadly....domestic violence, drug addiction, and suicide are rampant compared to heteros....

and besides this obamey/panetta ruling, any homosexual who thinks himself to be of character and patriotism will NOT march in this stinking exhibition as a sign of good faith....

I’ve never understood this PROUD thing that the homosexuals have adopted. Why would someone be proud to be attracted to their same sex???????????

This makes absolutely no sense whatsover. The truth of the matter is most homosexuals suffer from terrible depression because they know what they are doing is abnormal and not
healthy to say the least. Engage in these perferted acts and you will eventually die from it. Unknown cancers, depression that leads to suicide and of course AIDS.

So exactly what is there to be PROUD of?

This is all part of the communist manifesto. Infiltrate
society with this perversion and make the abnormal seem normal. It destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and it destroyed
the Roman Empire. And it will destroy the United States. God will not be mocked.

I believe I will shave my beard, let out my Service blue trousers and don my dress unifrom to attend a non-paritisan political event just for fun-and invite teh press to document it all. I mean, if troopers can volunteer (I assume they volunteeered????) for a sodomite hit parade in sin city west, then I certainly can attend a patriotic event in uniform as well.

Understood, I am retired, but nonetheless an officer of the US Army, active duty retired list.

Maybe some positive press would be in order in light of this debacle of sillyness.

I realy want to know which GO at DOD signed on to this w/o protest?

We are diminished for their lack of integrity....
