US House votes to cut $650 million in aid to 'traitor' Pakistan

Washington, DC - The US House of Representatives has passed an amendment unanimously that cuts down $650 million in military aid to Pakistan as Republicans sought to tamp down demands for still deeper reductions.

Congressman Ted Poe had demanded a $1.3 billion cut, but later settled for the 650 million cut.

"Pakistan is the 'Benedict Arnold' to America in the war on terror. They are disloyal, deceptive and a danger to the United States," Poe, who had moved the amendment, said.

"This so-called ally continues to take billions in US aid, while funding the militants who attack us. And we've kept the money flowing. It's time we turn off the tap," Poe said in a statement after the amendment was passed by the House of Representatives with bipartisan support.

It will now go to Senate for apprival.

"By continuing to provide aid to Pakistan, we are funding the enemy, endangering Americans and undermining our efforts in the region. We don't need to pay them to betray us; they are already doing it for free," said Poe, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

The passage of the amendment comes at a fragile time for relations between the United States and Pakistan, which only recently overcame differences that led Pakistan closing down a critical supply route into Afghanistan that had cost the United States about $100 million in additional war costs.

Good.

The "war on terror" is the only foreign war in our history in which US taxpayers are funding both sides.

Bet Ron Paul likes it and I would agree with him.

There are some places our money does not need to go. If the leftist
don’t like the military spending, they should love this but they won’t
because it’s their boy’s doin’.

This is just one of several countries that should not be receiving any aid.

There was a news report that the Obama admin. is to ask Congress for more than a billion in aid for Pakistan because Pakistan has now “allowed” shipments through its territory.

So the great plan from DC is to get Pakistan upset, while we also get Russia upset over Syria. Meanwhile, US troops stuck in Afghanistan must be wondering how the heck they are gonna get home. There are only two land routes. One through Russia and one through Pakistan.

Of course, this is only on paper. Means nothing, they will continue to support them all they can as long as they allow the pipeline to Afghanistan. It’s always a slight of hand thing by the State Department. I would think that they would be getting even more than authorized under the table.

You really can’t trust what our government says these days (actually, it began several years ago)... We just learn about the actual facts several years afterward.

I remember Judge Poe coming to visit my 3rd grade class. Later that year, we had a field trip to sit in his courtroom. This one lady kept responding “yes, your majesty.” She wasn’t being sarcastic; she really was that dumb / cracked out. He kept a good demeanor and didn’t lose it with her. That really stood out in my mind.

It’s been pretty cool watching him grow politically. As a judge in the Houston area, he was well know for his unique (but very fitting) punishments. Of course, the libs always tried to claim “cruel and unusual” against him, but it never stuck.

I’d like to think Rep Poe is Houston’s conservative answer/apology for Queen Shiela...haha.

This makes a LOT of sense! The argument is that China will just provide them with funding. To me, that’s what’s going on anyway, except that we’re paying interest on that money when we borrow it from China to give to Pakistan with no hope of ever getting it back. Let’s just eliminate ourselves as the middle man and consider providing additional support to India to balance it out.

Yep, I think there should be a long list of these countries who should simply be told, we cannot afford you sorry..
No foreign monies, while we are at it, since Washington dc. aka the federal gangsta... is foreign to us defund it entirely..we would be better off without them..

I have a question!

What countries pay us aid? Are there any countries that actually send us money or are we the pocketbook for every country?

Throw in that we're putting a lot of ships into a small shooting pond - straights of hormuz ... and we might lose this world war before it's officially started.
