This morning, in the aftermath of the unspeakable Colorado massacre that claimed at least 12 innocent American lives and injured dozens more, ABC "news" investigative reporter Brian Ross appeared on ABC's Good Morning America and made the outrageous, irresponsible, and completely unfounded claim that the alleged gunman, 24-year-old Jim Holmes, is a member of the Tea Party. Apparently Ross has learned absolutely nothing from the media's disgraceful rush to judgment and dissemination of misinformation following the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in January 2011.
That's twice now that the "news" media have falsely implicated the Tea Party in murder.
In his brazen attempt to smear the Tea Party, Ross speculated on national television to millions of viewers that Holmes was a member of the Tea Party based on a social media webpage. When it became apparent that this accusation was false, ABC offered an apology, but they chose to release it online where only a fraction of Good Morning America's misinformed viewers would see it. In addition, Ross had the gall to appear on ABC News to correct himself without offering an on-air apology.
Ross slandered every American even loosely associated with the Tea Party, and he owes them an apology. He must also apologize to Good Morning America's audience, the James Holmes he falsely implicated of mass murder, and, most of all, to each and every person in Colorado directly or indirectly affected by this horrific tragedy.
In a moment that demanded clarity of thought and purpose, Ross rushed to slander those with whom he does not agree politically, exposing the depths and darkness of his political prejudices. Shame on Brian Ross, and shame on ABC News for not yet demanding he look directly into the camera and beg forgiveness for politicizing this terrible event. Ross' meek Twitter apology is a cynically insincere slap in the face to us all.
I hope Mr. Tea Party Holmes gets a good lawyer. Nothing would suit me more than to see a member of the biased liberal media get his comeuppance with a high price lawsuit.

Frankly, I think he owes them a lot more than that. The media's cavalier approach to the truth borders on criminal. Failing an abject, groveling apology not only from the butt-clown who made the accusation but the editors who allowed it and the medium that transported it, I would strongly recommend pursuing a class action for slander.

We need to force TRUTH—and facts only in MSM. Opinions should never be considered “news”.
Solzhenitsyn warned the USA in 78 that our “press” was no better than the agitprop in Soviet Russia. They lied and slandered and were not kept to any standard of Truth. The lying press which glorifies Marxism only (and dysfunction and victimhood) needs to be dismantled if we are to remain Free and informed.
Freedom of Press underlies Free society as does the 2nd Amendment. Marxists control what we see and hear—even in schools. We also need full freedom to practice our 2nd Amendment Rights.
Where is the outrage? Well, where was the outrage at the Tucson mass-murder, in which the scumbag media accused Palin/Rush/Tea-Party for DAYS... while the GOP basically stood aside and were as quiet as church mice? That still burns me up, more than words can express.
No matter what the issue, Bozell GETS IT.

They should have him on more often instead of wasting countless on-the-air minutes with leftist bozos like Juan Williams, Geraldo, that DemoRat big-mouth, Leslie Whatshername, and that Red college perfesser who spouts marxism with every sentence.

I would LOVE to see him sue. I think he probably has some grounds, since he was publicly slandered by a news source, with absolutely no foundation, and has suffered threats and harassment as a result.
And if there was any doubt about his malicious mindset, he eschewed the opportunity to apologize on air after his idle speculation that the gunman might be a Tea Party member turned out to be false.
BTW, Mark Levin covered this Ross-Stephanopoulos story on his radio show tonight.

That’s Leslie Marshall but I don’t know who the Red college professor would be unless you’re referring to that blonde idiot from Occidental College in CA. I was thinking just this week we haven’t had to put up with her in a long time!!! I was hoping she was gone for good.
Just the fact she is at Occidental College tells us a lot about obozo’s former college in CA...Hmmmm. Did he NEVER go to a normal school?
However, he and the blond idiot perfesser-ette whose name also escapes me are interchangeable in marxist ideology.......differentiated only by their skin color and sex.......and I'm not too sure of the latter.
