Obama demands "Quote approval" before the Goebbels media runs with the story.

Ha ha, so we’ve been reading WH press releases this whole time and didn’t even know it.

If Romney gets in the “news” media will suddenly grow a pair and refuse to cooperate with Quote Approval - they won’t want to protect Romney like they do Zero.

Over the years, Rush’s montages (for just ONE) have proved manipulation by the media.
Surprising this is in the slimes, though...
FR is a collection, an archive of the msm’s horridness.

I don't even blame the politicians. They're supposed to try to control their message.
But the journalists are such toadies. They have no pride in their work. In different times and in other locations today, journalists risk being imprisoned and killed to reveal the truth behind power.
The journalistic renfields in this country just hope for an extra bug to eat and an approving nod from master.

Rush will have a time with the “State-Run Media” this week.

I suggest that everyone goes and reads the original article thoroughly. The Romney people get to exert much of the same control. This is more evidence that Romney is part of the Establishment.
The question becomes, "would Herman Cain or Sarah Palin get such deference?"

The question becomes, "would Herman Cain or Sarah Palin get such deference?" Yes.
It doesn't matter who it is, if they are a major party's nominee for president.
If these toadie reporters feel they absolutely must have direct quotes from the big players, they agree to whatever they are asked.
They have no concept how to do actual journalism, they just need the famous politician to say something that they can write down. Then they can resume getting drunk.

Ive been waiting for others to point it out, discuss it, debate it, express shock and exasperation over it. But Ive waited for naught.Since the website requires a person to register to read their site I'm not surprised nobody read it.
Even after having read this article I'm not going to register to go read it even though I'm highly interested.

Quote approval is standard practice for the Obama campaign. It is also commonplace throughout Washington and on the campaign trail. Why the sudden shock about a practice that has been going on for some time?
Is Farah claiming he didn't know it's been going on?

In my reporter days, any time I had a questionable quote I would phone the person quoted (NEVER would I submit my copy for approval) and ask if he or she did indeed say that.
The story WILL run, whether you like it or not, but would you please clarify this one quote?
“Honest journalism” is dead. I was taught to have a “polite but adversarial” relationship with politicians. Today, it is a “warmly incestuous” relationship.

MSM has to be the least respected profession of our time. They are worse snake -oil salesmen, whores, banksters. I have to think that they are only slightly more respectable than terrorists and pedophiles.
