The establishment Republicans and D.C. funded SuperPACS are dumping millions and millions of dollars into this race in order to elect another 'go along to get along' Senator that will walk in lockstep with the Republican leadership. We the People cannot stay silent anymore and allow the Republicans to dictate who our representatives are.

Drudge is 'severely' capitalist.
"Dirty" David Dewhurst makes me puke!
To: G Larry
Dewhurst probably bought ads on the Drudge Report
What with all the money the left is dumping in Texas to keep a good Conservative Tea Party type candidate from being in the Senate, we have to fight all the harder.

Let’s hope Cruz can lift the solid hold of the establishment over TX, but I am doubtful. People in TX usually vote as instructed by their party bosses.

This morning I heard a new desperate David Dewhurst ad claiming Ted “had a meltdown” in an interview with Senator Dan Patrick. They played excerpts and all I heard was Ted trying to get Dan to let him talk. It was all Dan Patrick ranting. I don’t know what happened between Dan Patrick and Ted Cruz, but they are apparently not the best of friends. I’ve had a great run of championing Dan Patrick, but now it’s sayonara Danny Boy, we hardly knew ye.

Hunh? We’re a pretty damn independent bunch down here, and Dewhurst isn’t anybody’s favorite. Lt Governor is the most powerful political position under the Texas Constitution and he’s taken full advantage of it. Time to move him on to something in the private sector.

Uh... yeah. No party bosses have come by the house to ‘instruct’ me. If they did, I’d have to ‘instruct’ them where to shove the idea of telling me how to vote.
I plan to vote Cruz.

As did I. Too late for the “party bosses” to tell me what to do.

You are speaking for yourself...correct? Because you dang sure don't speak for the rest of us on FR in Texas.
The only party boss that tells me what to do is a little short blonde woman who tells me where to put the chips and dip!

I listened to some of Dan’s radio show on my way from work to vote (for Cruz) & he sounded a bit stressed & on the defensive. I think he may be taking some heat for his treatment of Cruz.
Sadly, I have to agree that there are some Texans who will just follow the GOPe path. I have one friend who is in a “Republican Women’s Club” who likes Dewhurst & doesn’t like Sarah. She’s not a native though. And there are a few Lucianne posters in Texas that seem to be Barbara Bush clones - very moderate.
At the Tracy Gee Center they said it had been busy all day. Who would a higher than expected turn-out favor?
To: ichabod1
This morning I heard a new desperate David Dewhurst ad claiming Ted had a meltdown in an interview with Senator Dan Patrick.
I heard the same ad this afternoon...
I liked Dan Patrick when he hosted his radio program before he was elected, but have been working out-of-state most the time the last few years and don't know if he has changed much since being elected.
The verbal exchange was Cruz and Patrick disagreeing on what Cruz had said and meant, apparently about someone Patrick likes(?), and who was telling things straight, and both of them talking over each other.
But Patrick owns the mic and had the upper hand of course.
I didn't see it as a meltdown at all. I heard it as Cruz defending himself and not knuckling under to Patrick.
It was - to a great extent - just what the media theater is these days - Rep. Dem. Cons. Lib it doesn't matter. This aspect is the same.
SO I don't see it as a negative for Cruz. I see it as he is not letting himself be pushed around.
The ad did NOT have any information to let one even get a vague idea over what they were arguing about. Just that they were arguing.
Big Deal. If that is the best Dewhurst has got, Cruz will win.
