The nature of the shipyard makes for an environment where rags pile up and brown butcher paper is used as a ubiquitous covering for a variety of things. Then there is the insulation that covers the entire inside of the hull. Stage an adrift can of glue, solvent or paint here and there and it's a recipe for diaster.
Another rocket scientist makes his contribution.

I volunteer my services to set fire on this POS..
Reason for the death penalty I would say.
Apparently the hull hath no Fury like a worker stressed.

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Maine
Morons...Portsmith is in New Hampshire.
Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is in Kittery, Maine.
Right across the Piscataqua River is Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Obviously a democrat...
Screw your plan. Keelhaul the prick. He will be an example of your planners.
In all the years I lived in Maine I never heard of the Portsmouth yard called Maine and all the New Hampshire folks I knew referred to it as being in New Hampshire.
And do not for a minute think that his actions have not been noticed and are being studied and analyzed around the world.
I hope he gets at least 10 years for his efforts. Madoff bilked his clients of $18b and got 150 years.
The shipyard is actually located in Kittery Maine.
It is possible for him to face life in prison. According to the Criminal Complaint published by the NCIS, he did all this for some ex-girlfriend he was texting. He starting developing some un-controllable anxiety while standing the safety watch and didnt like her responses. Apparently she started seeing some other guy, and he was trying to convince her that he was more than a friend. He wanted to get out of work. Since he was a unionized tradesman he wanted to still get paid, so I guess one way to do it, is if there was no actual work in the yard. With his twisted logic, a fire would accoplish this. He actually did it twice. He might of got away with the USS MIAMI fire if he didn’t start the second one.
$400 million in damage? He must have burned up a few pallets of hammers...
