Today Barack Obama blamed his four years of trillion dollar deficits on the Bush tax cuts. From the president’s Weekly Address:
You see, Republicans in Congress and their nominee for President believe that the best way to create prosperity in America is to let it trickle down from the top. They believe that if our country spends trillions more on tax cuts for the wealthy, we’ll somehow create jobs – even if we have to pay for it by gutting things like education and training and by raising middle-class taxes.
They’re wrong. And I know they’re wrong because we already tried it that way for most of the last decade. It didn’t work. We’re still paying for trillions of dollars in tax cuts that benefitted the wealthiest Americans more than anyone else; tax cuts that didn’t lead to the middle class jobs or higher wages we were promised and that helped take us from record surpluses to record deficits.
And, of course, he’ll get away with these completely inaccurate statements.
Wait. Aren’t these the same tax cuts Obama says he wants extended for another year (at least for the Middle Class)?
How can the man contradict himself so glaringly and not get called on it?
So THAT'S where all of governments hard earned money was spent.
If WE don't give it to government in the first place then government wouldn't have such money issues to worry about.
The last Republican budget produced a deficit of $168B for the WHOLE year. The total Government Revenue collected that year (Fed, State, and local) was 38% of GDP. There’s a reason there has been a decline in revenue for the government....We saw you coming, Barack & Co.
The problem for the Obster now is that lots of people don't have jobs now who did when "things were trickling down from the top".
No. What we believe is that theres NO SUCH THING as spending money on tax cuts. A tax cut isnt an expenditure. A tax cut is letting people keep more of what they earn.
Shall we wait forever for this president to take responsibility for aught that be ill . . . ?

What an ignorant ideologue this jerk is. Money is not something that just ‘exists’, to be distributed ‘fairly’ by the government. It is a representation of all the goods and services created / produced by people doing work. The government creates no goods, and provides few real services, and cannot support itself except for what it confiscates from those who do work. The idea that a ‘tax cut’ is somehow a gift, from the government, is absurd. A tax cut is an agreement by the government to steal less from its citizens.
When will the Obama National Nightmare be over? Will it be over when Obama loses the election? Or will portions of the Obama National Nightmare be hanging around for years?
0bama is not about the revenue raised, only on the rate applied.
This is only true if you believe the gummit owns everything.

I truly hate this SOB.
How? The simple answer is: He's black. Anything he says is subject to revision at any time, his off-the-cuff definative statements are either open to interpretation or taken out of context. Questioning his remarks, reviewing his contradictions and so on are signs of racism and racism is bad.
Therefore, calling him on anything is racism which = bad.
How can the country "spend" money on tax cuts, unless you assume all the money belongs to the government to begin with?
As always, the liberals identify the problem as not having enough of other people’s money.
