Chick-Fil-A Brand Approval Rating Plummets
Towelroad ^ | July 28 2012 | A. Towleroad

The controversy caused by Chick-fil-A COO Dan Cathy's interview, in which he said the company was "guilty as charged" for making large donations to anti-gay causes, has not been good for the restaurant's brand, GLAAD reports:

Chick-Fil-A and the Top National QSR Sector were measured with YouGov BrandIndex's Index score, the company's flagship brand health measurement.

The Index score is an average of key scores measuring quality, impression, value, reputation, satisfaction and willingness to recommend. All measurements were filtered for adults 18+ who have eaten fast food in the past month. The Top National QSR sector average includes such brands as Pizza Hut, Arby's, Papa John's, Domino's, Taco Bell, KFC, McDonald's, Burger King, and Long John Silver's.

Chick-fil-A's index score has dropped 26 points since Dan Cathy's interview:

YouGov BrandIndex measurement scores range from 100 to -100 and are compiled by subtracting negative feedback from positive. A zero score means equal positive and negative feedback.

On July 16th, the day the Baptist Press published its Dan Cathy interview, Chick-Fil-A's Index score was 65, a very substantial 19 points above the Top National QSR Sector average score that day of 46.

Four days later, Chick-Fil-A had fallen to 47 score, three points below the Top National QSR Sector average score of 50. This past Wednesday, Chick-Fil-A had a 39 score compared to the Top National QSR Sector average score of 43.

That might actually be useful - no cross, think twice about shopping there.

As for arm band, they’ll be really unhappy when we change it to a crusader’s cross hilted sword on a crusader’s shield and start packing...

It’s not publicly traded, unfortunately.

Sounds like they poled a bunch of gays, rather than polling a representative sample of potential customers.

Evidence that this is BS propoganda can be proven not only in sales, but in the fact that the loud-mouths chest beaters politcos have ALL toned down their rhetoric (and even one totally backtracking).

FYI: The nearest one to me is 90 miles away. Since I have a client in that city (Erie, PA), I plan on making a visit to that client, and having breakfast and dinner there on Aug 1, and I'll pick up a few gift cards if available.

Let me also remind the audience that they are trying to play this like the NAACP's so-called 'boycott' of SC. That boycott had ZERO affect on business in the South State. But the news media kept reporting that it did

... all the more reason we need our own media outlets.

Especially because they seem totally unaware that they are doing so.

That is what is so perplexing. I think they are confusing the tolerance of the American people with acceptance of their lifestyle. Add in the totalitarianism of political correctness, the suppression of free speech and a potential conflagration of anger becomes a certainty.

We are seeing a peaceful pushback at this point. This will benefit the conservatives during the run up to the election.

Visited Chick-fil-a on Saturday ... first time in years.

1) Told cashier and manager the 'controversy' brought us in their front door.

2) Quality of food and physical plant was head and shoulders above other fast-food joints.

3) Told manager we'd be back ... excellent product.

Yes they do make great gifts. I purchased some last week but plan on being there Friday as well. They’ll be outnumbered in my two local Chick-Fil-A’s.

Seems like a good time for Christians to make a buck on the fudge-packing moonbats. Watch that stock. JMHO

Sadly, they are privately owned.

Someone’s lying again. Everything I’ve heard is that CF has been doing a booming business this past week in support for them. The one I was at Friday was packed.

This just tells me their approval rating with militant gays has plummeted.

“I think they are confusing the tolerance of the American people with acceptance of their lifestyle.”

Exactly. That is the reason I said if they are not careful they will find themselves back in the closet.

LGBT is one of their main categories.

Everytime I see the accronyms I wonder whether it could be served on an onion roll.

Lettuce, Guacamole, Bacon and Tomato? Hell Yeah!

Oops! Maybe they should do it now. I am sick and tired of the weirdos getting all the hype in America. They represent disease, filth and corruption.

We live 45 minutes away from our nearest one, but we plan to visit it on August 1 just to make a statement.

I have noticed that women take a shine to CFA. If the moonbats continue they risk exposing the evil that rests within them.

That’s the only fault I can find with Chick Fil A. But I respect their policy.

We have upped our eating their from once a month to once a week. Fortunately, we have 3 within 5 miles of our house.

Interesting link.

Their airline result suggests there may be some validity to their methodology.
