As Romney Finishes Visit to Polish Tomb of Unknown Soldier, Press Screams, "What About Your Gaffes?"
Tuesday, July 31, 2012 | Kristinn

Posted on 07/31/2012 6:14:37 AM PDT by kristinn

Reporters accompanying presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney yelled questions at Romney about his so-called mistakes and gaffes on his foreign trip as the candidate left the Polish Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw today.

The barrage prompted one of Romney's press aides, Rick Gorka, to lose his cool at reporters. Of course, those reporters are making the aide's profanity the story and not their own incredible rudeness.

A transcript of the incident via CNN's Jim Acosta in Warsaw:

CNN: "Governor Romney are you concerned about some of the mishaps of your trip?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you have a statement for the Palestinians?

Washington Post: "What about your gaffes?

NYT: "Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?"

CNN: "Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven't taken but three questions on this trip from the press!

Gorka: "Show some respect"

NYT: "We haven't had another chance to ask a question..."

Gorka: "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect."

Acosta added: Moments later, Gorka told Jonathan Martin, a reporter for Politico, to "shove it." About a half-hour later, the aide called reporters to apologize.

The news media would be crucified if they treated Barack Obama this way (they never would, of course.) They should be crucified for their infantile, insulting behavior.

This year’s ‘Major League A—hole’ moment. Love it. Make sure we have the same contempt for the media they have for Republicans.

I hope Romney picks a VP candidate who can do the same thing with some more visibility and some more volume. (Since the news media ranks somewhere between used car dealers and ambulance chasing lawyers in US public perception, this isn't an awful idea, strategically.)

To me, an ordinary Pole, he's quite a good man. Perhaps, many other republicans would be more suitable for POTUS, but then again, Obama in the White House...that sets the bar really low.

Thank you for the information . . and all Obama/Biden “deserve” is a good swift kick onto Reagan’s “Ash Heap of History”.

The media wants to talk about gaffes? Let's talk about gaffes, then!

I think what he was saying was that the media's behavior was so bad, that the result would make Romney be more popular among people who did not particularly like him; not that the media was on a campaign to make people like Romney.

Maybe Gorka owed an apology to the Polish people for using some rough language at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw, but the jackals from the NYT, CNN and WaPo deserve no such courtesy or respect. The organizations they represent have betrayed their solemn duty as watchdogs of liberty and are nothing more than paid operatives of the Democrat Party and the Obama regime. We must never refer to these people as journalists because it's a title they do not deserve and have not earned.

What I wish he had said:

About my gaffes...no one is perfect, and at least mine weren't enacted into law.

There are no such thing as Palestinians.

It really doesn't matter what I say, you're going to twist it every which way until it shows that you and the President are right and I'm wrong.

How'd you like my speech on foreign policy to the VFW the other day? Oh,you forgot to cover it.

Go pound sand...and that's on the record. I'm sure this mike is open.

Come'on, Mitt. Use the same tempered ruthlessness, passion for achievement, no BS drive that built Bain. You are a builder, and he is a destroyer. We need you!

contempt for the media

Most of the media is a joke not even worth taking serious except to mock them.

My hope is that the apology went something like this:

“I’m sorry for the unprofessional tone I adopted with you. In the future, I will try to be more pleasant when I correct your unprofessional behavior.”

Biden rips Romney, defends trial lawyers at Chicago fundraiser

By Rick Pearson

Tribune reporter

7:04 PM CDT, July 30, 2012

Vice President Joe Biden told a fundraising audience of 700 trial lawyers at a downtown hotel Monday that a Mitt Romney presidency likely would have a disastrous impact on the middle class and warned of the presumptive Republican nominee’s picks to the Supreme Court.

Speaking at the Chicago Hilton and Towers, where the American Association of Justice was meeting, the Democratic vice president also offered a tribute to the late Philip Corboy, a pioneering personal injury attorney.

Biden called Corboy, who died June 12, a “consummate gentleman” and “one of the reasons I went to law school.”

OK. Thanks. I get to be literal sometimes when I read words:)

Blow it out your liberal sychopant ass, bite me, eat it, go suck an egg are the proper responses to the Internationale American Media. They deserve no respect, no quarter. They are nothing more than energetic unprincipled scriveners of the Obama bullsh!t talking points.
