At least four people were shot just after 10 a.m. Sunday at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, and a police SWAT team entered the building before noon and brought uninjured people out of the building at 7512 S. Howell Ave.
Among those who were shot was the president of the temple.
People were in the temple as early as 6:30 a.m. Sunday and many more were arriving for a service that was to begin about 11:30 a.m.
There were reports that children were taken to the building's basement after shots were fired.

I don't know. Maybe they've discovered writings on his person (or in his car/house) which indicated he wanted to carry out a terrorist incident on his own against Muslims.
I heard thast early on as well...and I am sceptic enough to NOT believe the “lone gunman” mime at first blush. WAY too many inconsistencies..and I agree that the immediate response from CAIR has a bit of “Me thinks thou doth protest too much” attached to it..

What I'm hearing is that is what they do when the target may be a church like thingy.

In all likelihood, the FBI is involved because they want to know how this guy planned the attack, if he acted alone, etc. Yes, he's dead, but if he had help pulling this attack off, the FBI wants to know who helped him.
The 9/11 hijackers died, too - that didn't mean the FBI (and CIA and DOD, etc.) didn't investigate what happened leading up t othe attack.
Oh I know. Lots of white Muslims and Chechens as well. Lots of them in the country now and they are very white skinned.

I understand all that it just seems they have no reason to take over the entire investigation and shut down the media from finding out names, etc. I use to trust the FBI explicitly but not so much these days. Thanks to Obama and his band of Marxist cronies.
