By a curious coincidence, he was a Hawk Missile repairman, who served in Fort Bliss. So was I, and so did I for a while, although he was there long after I was.

Why don’t they call him what he *is* in the headline - not what he was?? Geeze...a huge portion of the population can be called a “former US Military Member”. The only valid point in this might be that he did not have an honorary discharge.
