Sarah Palin: Mama grizzlies united
The Washington Post's She The People ^ | August 6, 2012 | Diana Reese

CLEVELAND, Mo—Sarah Palin did not disappoint.

The crowd cheered and applauded repeatedly during her speech here Friday night, from her opening remarks about “mama grizzlies” on the Missouri state flag to her promise to stop at the local Chick-fil-A for a midnight snack.

It was the first time I’d ever seen Palin in person, and it was well worth the 19-mile drive from my suburban Kansas City home to The Berry Patch, a you-pick blueberry farm near Cleveland, Mo., population 665, in rural Cass County.

Not because I’m a fan or even agree with her ideology, but to see what all the fuss has been about.

Palin was in the Kansas City area to campaign for Sarah Steelman, who’s in a tight three-way race in Tuesday’s Republican primary for Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat. The winner will face Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) in November.

--snip--

Somehow, Palin has achieved celebrity status since the 2008 election. How many failed vice presidential candidates and former Alaska governors end up with book deals and reality TV shows? With an estimated net worth of $12 million?

When Palin took to the makeshift stage in the middle of a Missouri farm field, she was dressed more for the part of Hollywood celebrity than serious politician....

Hopefully Sarah will do some contemplation and decide that a conservative third party is America’s future. She’ll have time during the gop-e convention.

Wow! I wonder who peed in Diana's latte this morning? 19 miles? I figure she's just pissed that she had to go out to Cleveland, MO, which is about midway between Harrisonville, MO and Louisberg, KS. In fact, their school district is even called the "Midway school district." It's a slightly rural area, and that probably set her off to begin with. But the author of this piece of tripe was certainly catty, wasn't she.

... but it was hard for me to take Palin seriously dressed as she was. First, her shoes: Five-inch wedges. Her black capris weren’t quite skin-tight but tight enough...

ROWRRR! We'll be the judge of whether they're tight enough, Diana. Seriously, what's next? MoDo reviewing a Zeta Jones movie?

Diana sounds like such a jealous hack. That’s why many liberal women hate Sarah Palin, because Sarah is beautiful, both inside and out, and liberal women are so disgusting looking, both in body and soul

Dimbo’s are always frightened, then offended by good looking, intelligent Conservative women. It threatens every false concept that they have always had about themselves.. i.e. they are smarter, better and absolutely EVERYONE agrees with them.

Wrongo Dimbo’s!

You are frequently homely, shrewish and overbearing.

Just sayin’.

Reese: Somehow, Palin has achieved celebrity status since the 2008 election.

Maybe by figuring out the how and why of Sarah as a model, you could get a real job as a journalist instead of being a freelancer stuck in Kansas. Geez, what a catty twit.

It's hard for me to take the Chocolate Muppet seriously, but I'll bet Diane worships the ground the clown sashays over.

So a typical, liberal, ugly bitch writing about a beautiful, smart, Conservative.....chooses to attack her fashion sense.

Face it, bitch....you wouldn’t get a second look at closing time at 2AM in any bar in America. Your jealousy is glowing red hot. Go ahead and turn gay and get it over with. You’ll never get a man.

“First, her shoes: Five-inch wedges. Her black capris weren’t quite skin-tight but tight enough, and her t-shirt with its Superman logo (a Steelman campaign shirt emblazoned with “Our freedom. Our fight.”) emphasized her figure. She never once removed her oversized sunglasses.”

Wow, this woman is seriously jealous. Sarah is gorgeous, smart and a true conservative, and it drives the left wild that people love her Figures that a woman to resort to attacking her outfit (I am a woman, btw).

Snark, snark, snark. These feminist writers (and some just plain feminine writers) don’t even realize that they reveal more about themselves than they ever reveal about Sarah. And, thank the Lord, Sarah couldn’t care less. (The former veep’s comment made its way into the piece as well. How he ever lasted in politics is just beyond me.)
