Gay marriage activists are planning to swarm Starbucks on Tuesday in an attempt to counter the record sales from last weeks Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.
The chicken chain enjoyed a surge of support during the Wednesday event, dreamed up by former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee after Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy went on the record backing the biblical definition of the family unit.
A follow-up protest from Chick-fil-A critics on Friday, which was dubbed Same Sex Kiss Day, was more subdued.

That’s going to be a real draw for Starbucks.
“Stop in for coffee today, our places will be full of militant queers!”
Baristas, meet drama queens.
Can I have wawa instead?
Well, it’s good to see the leftist freaks playing defense, catch up, and doing it poorly. It’s good to see the media trying to help them and failing. Gives one hope, doesn’t it?
How can you tell from their regular customers?
I guess I won’t be visiting tarbucks or (Dunkin Donuts if they are going to be packed with homosexuals.
When I visit friends in Las Vegas I join them for their daily Starbuck’s ritual. I.E. recite the coffee Nazi order, pay for a wildly overpriced cup of swill, then meet friends and air-kiss on the veranda. I excuse myself and walk across the street to the gas station for an 89 cent cup-a-joe then rejoin them for some scintillating conversation.
Nothing warms my heart quite so well as drinking from a Fabulous Freddie's coffee cup while sitting in front of Starbuck’s.
Starbucks didn’t show much enthusiasm about being chosen as the object of the protestors affection.
Starbucks stood up for the second amendment I seem to recall.
That being said, they really sell badly over roasted (burnt coffee beans) coffee for way too much money.
DD coffee sucks, but I’ll do McD’s.
When we go there to meet with some folks every few weeks I will always walk in with my C-f-A bag'o'goodies AND have observed the S'Bux employees doing the same...
Agreed - where I go anyway.
And I think it is very telling that Starbucks itself more or less blew the gays off on this one; did not want the spotlight on their company, and aksed that the LGBTs include the myriad of other pro-gay companies and NOT call it “Starbucks Appreciation Day”.
I think I’ll have lunch at Chick-Fil-A today.
The economy must be doing better than we think - could Zero be right?!? - if everyone can afford coffee at a 500% markup.
The great economic minds of FR researched coffee retailers once. We discovered that Starbucks gets the most cups from a pound of beans of any major retailer.
McD’s here is giving away free coffee all week.
It’s bad busiess. Hey Starbux, hire me as a consultant and I’ll tell you how to grow revenue: stop pissing off half of your potential customers.
Every time they do a ‘maybe-THIS-will work’, it spotlights just how desperate they are for - WHAT? - nobody can define what, exactly it is that will FINALLY get the little pissants to STFU.
(Gay marriage activists are planning to swarm Starbucks on Tuesday in an attempt to counter the record sales from last weeks Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.)
So roughly 1 percent of the population is going to try and out spend 85 percent of the population in one day sales??
Yes these people really are that stupid................
I wonder if they will swallow their ideology and come out for Starbuck's Gay Day?
(A follow-up protest from Chick-fil-A critics on Friday, which was dubbed Same Sex Kiss Day, was more subdued.)
Now don’t be a lying sack of crap.
The homosexual kiss day was -AN EPIC FAIL!!!
Already been to Dunkin Donuts for a coffee today...
But that is nothing new as I have never been in a Starbucks and never intend to be..............
