The Rasmussen Consumer Index, which measures consumer confidence on a daily basis, fell another point on Tuesday to 81.5. Consumer confidence is down two points from a week ago, down eight points from a month ago and down ten points from three months ago.

And yet today, Rasmussen has Obama's approval at 49%. Unreal.
The power of the corrupt media (along with a run of the mill RINO afraid to punch the thug in the face).
If this were a Republican they would be in the low 30s and laughed at for even attempting to run for re-election.
That 49% makes no sense when you look across all other polling data...election polls, both national and by state, as well as economic data and polling. Everything else looks bad, but that number bumped up several points recently. It doesn’t make sense, unless there is significantly high positive results in the west coast and northeast solid blue states.
Universities?
Obama will not get more than 44% of the vote.
The Obama Schroedinger’s Cat Economy....
Not quite dead yet, but not quite alive, either.
It’s GREAT if you are living off of Government largess, or government contracts.
It SUCKS if you rely on the Private Sector to make your living.
Barry, you’re doing a heck of a job.
They live in Washington DC and its a boomtown. The economy is great for the parasite class.
Government workers .....they have it great...cannot get fired and great pay and benefits..we are the stupid ones???
“13% Rate Economy As Good or Excellent”
It would be interesting to know if any of the 13% are employed or have paid taxes in the past 4 years!
And the welfare rolls. That is,the welfare recipients that weren't on a crack binge at the time.
Hahahaaaa!! I wonder if they’ll do a cross section of how many of that 13% are on welfare.
Where do they find this moronic 13%?
Universities?
Government.
LLS
It is truly unreal. What the sheeple are saying is:
"The economy sucks, we're out of work, we're frustrated with Obama's policies, we have no confidence in this economy, we hate the direction the country is going, only a plurality of us think the U.S. is winning the war on terrorism, and a majority of us still hate Obamacare and want it repealed.. so let's re-elect Obama."
Not when you think that about 49% of the population pays no taxes (federal income), gets some sort of government assistance: TANF, Section 8, EITC, UIC (unemployment) Advanced EITC, SNAP, SCHIP, AFDC, EBT credit card, Obama Phone, utilities assistance and on and on and on and on. In reality, they have more spendable income than real working people.
Not unreal at all - country is full of leeches while the diminishing working taxpayer gets poorer and poorer. These people eat better than we do. No stress, no TANF work requirement, nothing but a single thing - vote for Obama.
I am a “government worker.” I have some advice for any government worker or welfare recipient who thinks we are doing fine. It is a quote from Jeff Neely, former Head of GSA I know Im bad, but as Deb and I often say, why not enjoy it while we have it and while we can. Aint gonna last forever.
Must be members of the Gimme Class, who still get their government checks every month. However, with our national debt now surpassing that of Greece, that gravy train will come to a screeching halt in the not so distant future.
IMO that 13% is all that is left of Obama’s core base.
These polls are DNCp driven, and they’re the biggest farce this nation has seen, grade AAA number one public disinformation.
You watch what those polls do in October. Either they swing wildly to get back close to reality, or the DNCp rides into the sunset with Obama, liars and criminals each and every one.
The US economy is effectively being looted and it’s Obama’s buddies that are doing the looting. In return they are expected to donate generously to the Obama re-election campaign. Only it ain’t happnin’ on the scale necessary to make it a sure-thing. Obama is getting jumpy and making very public gaffes.
So I’d say the 13 percent are his big-money supporters in a few select industries, university and labor unions. Those are the people who are benefitting from the smash & grab.
