Obama Campaign Speech: No Compromise on Abortion Mandate
Life News ^ | 8/8/12 | Steven Ertelt

During a campaign stop in Denver, Colorado with pro-abortion activist Sandra Fluke, pro-abortion President Barack Obama refused to back down on the HHS mandate  his administration put in place forcing religious groups to cover abortion-causing drugs.

“Let me tell you—there’s nothing conservative about a government that prevents a woman from making her own health decisions,” he said. Let me tell you something, Denver—I don’t think your boss should control the care you get,” Obama added, referring to the desire by religious groups to not be forced to violate their own consciences.

“I think there is one person who should make decisions on your health care, and that person is you,” he continued. “I don’t think a college student in Colorado Springs should have to choose between textbooks or the preventive care she needs.”

Despite the fact that the Obama administration faces dozens of lawsuits from religious employers who are forced to pay for and refer for such drugs, Obama claimed some sort of compromise had been reached.

“We worked with Catholic hospitals and universities to find a solution that protects both religious liberty and a woman’s health,” Obama falsely claimed. “We’ve made sure churches and other houses of worship don’t have to provide or pay for it.”

During the speech, Obama bashed Mitt Romney, who enjoys the support of pro-life groups, for wanting to de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business and defending the rights of religious employers.

“He joined the far right to support a bill that would allow an employer to deny contraceptive coverage to their employees,” Obama said. “He said he’d ‘get rid of’ Planned Parenthood.”

“He said that he’d take the Affordable Care Act and ‘kill it dead’ on the first day of his presidency,” Obama complained about Romney’s stance supporting the reversal of Obamacare, which funds abortions.

Obama also touted one aspect of Obamacare, “This law allows young adults under the age of 26 to stay on their parents’ health care plans.” That’s despite a new Washington Post article that makes it clear that aspect doesn’t cover pregnancies while abortions could possible receive funding. As pro-life attorney Matthew Clark of the ACLJ explains, Obamacare allows for a myriad of abortion funding — a horrendous contradiction.

Remember the STU-PITTS amendment to the healthcare act?

Remember when Democrats said it was a lie that Obamacare would require taxpayer funding of abortion?

Remember when they claimed death panels were a hoax and fear mongering?

Obama lied, people (including small children) died.

Obama will bring up specific social issues like abortion and guns for 3 reasons
1. distract from the failed economy
2. energize their base
3. Romney won’t effectively counter these issues. Romney’s ineffective response will tick off & de-energize conservatives even more & continue to split the base

all of this is so predictable

You know what? He's getting ready to cave. Campaign promises are meant to be broken, esp by Barack Obama.

He will be told by Timothy Dolan that he cannot expect the same support of Catholics that he got last time, when he promised them their coveted universal healthcare. He will "evolve". He will win a second term, having been given the Catholic vote again. Timothy Dolan will wind up on the cover of Time magazine and be he next pope.

The beginning of The End.

Nobody wants to stop wopmen from making their own health decision. I just don’t want to pay for their abortions or their Contraceptives.

No compromise by patriot states to Buckwheat’s fascist command to kill babies.

Send out your fat welfare momma and 30 IQ SEIU pigs onto the field, and let’s see who wins. As for you chicken-leg desk jockeys in the metrosexual Pentagon, don’t even think of moving your fat 300-pound butts off your chairs. We have lampposts reserved for you if you act up.

starting January, $1 every month will be deducted from everyone’s paycheck to go directly towards funding abortion

140m tax filers
$12/yr

$1.68 billion / yr

cost per abortion: $500
number of abortions per year (currently): 1.2m
current cost for all abortions in the US annually: $600 million

starting January, if you pay taxes... YOU are paying for the killing of our children

yea... I won’t be doing that... then again, I’m a crazy nut job

Where does this “abortion mandate” come from?
There was no mandate, no overwhelming vote
of the people! Only a supreme court decision
and that is certainly no mandate.

Romney supposedly killed a woman by eliminating her insurance.

Obama wants to use insurance to kill unborn children.
