In Colorado, Obama calls for end to "senseless violence"

DENVER (Reuters) - President Barack Obama used a campaign stop in Colorado on Wednesday to call for an end to "senseless violence" across the country, appealing to Americans to focus on ways to stop it.

Referring to the shootings at a movie theater in Colorado and at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin in recent weeks, as well as last year's shooting of former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and others in Arizona, Obama stopped short of calling for gun control but said concerted action was needed.

"We've got to put an end to this kind of senseless violence, whether it's in Aurora, whether it's in Oak Creek, whether it's in Tucson, whether it's in cities all across America where too many lives are cut short," he said in Denver.

My idea of senseless vilolence is handing a ton of weapons to criminals just like he and holder did with Fast and Furious.

Note that the huge numbers of killings in Chicago didn’t get him out there talking about this. He likes it, it will be a crisis he sure won’t let go to waste.

An armed free citizenry will help end senseless violence.

The death penalty (public hanging preferable) used expeditiously will help.

Throwing illegal thug aliens out of the country will help.

Eliminating God-hating public officials and honoring “In God We Trust” which is emblazoned on are coinage would be the best help.

I’m all for bulldozing down mosques, declaring “islam” illegal, and deporting all who disagree a step in the right direction, also.

Anyone have some ideas?

How many of these spree shooters had been under the “supervision” of a “mental health professional” (Loughner, Aurora shooter), on a watch list (heard the temple shooter was; not seen confirmed)?
